Lawson should never be considered a "star". Don't know what your watching. He had inflated stats playing on a shit team the past couple seasons. Harden is getting 27/6/6 and is the best 2 guard in the game. Never has been able to play D, doubt it is worse then in years past. Your little crack at the end of your post, makes no sense, I actually DO watch games.

Must not be watching Hou much FAMS is all I have to say. They aren't losing this year due to their secondary pieces not performing up to snuff. See Superbeard's post. He is a Hou fan who supported Harden unconditionally until this year.

For all your self proclaimed NBA knowledge you seem to judge players by the same metrics as James Dolan.

Harden was much better on defense last season.

Right now Harden is proof that you can put up great numbers on a bad team. The Rockets outside of two games (Thunder, Clippers) have been bad. They have been blown out by bad teams, they have given up 20+ leads in minutes only to be down 20+ and not even get close to getting the lead back...it's bad. Harden is the worst, I challenge you to find many Rocket fans praising his play so far this season, it has been abysmal. That's cool he gets 27 points, but what is the point if he gives up 26 to Will Barton? Barton is a nice guy to have on your team and on your bench, but he should not be dropping 26 on your team. How did he do that? Harden would just let him run baseline and get wide open corner 3s, I counted at least two that game due to Harden just not paying attention and both were in the 4th quarter.

This has been the worse he's been defensively. Last year he was average and funnily enough he credited Tom Thibadeaux (From Team USA) for that improvement and not even his own coach. I really don't know what to expect out of him and that's not what you want from your superstar player. While you are right he's not the sole problem, the entire team has played poorly outside of Dwight, Ariza (whose now hurt) and Thornton. Jones has had some good games since coming back from the eye injury though. Brewer has been horrible, everyone else I guess are bench/role players and you can't rely on them to carry you to wins. That's what your superstars are for. Lawson has been terrible and Harden as well, but Lawson isn't even playing his role so I'm actually excusing the guy. You don't get a true PG and go tell him to stand at the 3 point line. Of course he's going to struggle.

Not sure what this team meeting would do. They should have already been embarrassed getting dominated by a Dallas team without Wes, Parsons, OR Dirk so my hopes are not high. Especially with the offensive backcourt the Blazers have and the lack of defense of Harden/Lawson duo.

I guessing since Harden already has a beard he's celebrating No Defense November instead of No Shave November.

    At least he cares.

Sorry Guys no Pre-Game by me. I am just swamped at work. With this weather both literally and figuratively speaking.
Blazers need to keep playing with energy and continue to grow as a team. The wins will start to come. The Rockets don't have the spirit to take on a team that plays for 48 minutes but they do have the talent to beat the Blazers. Just depends on what team shows.
    Go Blazers!

Harden flopped his big mouth open by declaring he was the best player in the NBA before the season even started. I bet he thought he was owed that status after being "robbed" of MVP by Curry last year.

He probably thought Silver and the refs would be rolling out the red carpet for him to atone for their "grave mistake" last year and Harden would achieve his ascension to greatness without really even trying.

That isn't happening and he is now realizing that he will have to prove he is the best player in NBA himself and he is falling, or should I say, flopping flat on his face trying to do so.

*The reason why Harden is shooting so many threes this year is he is trying to prove he is just as good if not better than Curry, the man that "stole" Harden's MVP last year to show the NBA that what Curry did last year wasn't a big deal.

Remember the last time we played a team the day they fired their coach? I do! Against the Knicks and they beat us by like 40! Coach Nate got fired the next day if I remember correctly!

McHale to me should have been fired a long time ago...not a great coach. I just hope the Rockets don't hire Thibs, but you can bet they'll try
