Woj also said that JB Bickerstaff's main job is to shore up the defense, so it would make sense for them to go after a top-notch defensive coach.
That didn't take long. So the Rockets will be extra inspired tonight to prove it was the coach and not themselves.
Took them long enough... But they're blaming the wrong person Mchale didn't bring in players who are career <30% 3point shooters to play in that system.
Morey is the one who needs to be on the hot seat. Constantly turning over the roster, bringing in questionable characters who have clearly been coach killers in the past, giving no thought to the chemistry of the team. The fact that this happened a day after a players' only meeting is telling. As if I couldn't hate the Rockets players more
could you imagine trying to get Harden to play defense? Thibbs would be good there, but I'm not sure how much Harden would enjoy it.
For the last several days, ESPN ran an article a day about how depressed the players and coach are, criticizing each other on the court during games. Now I realize those articles were leaks from Rockets management, preparing Houston fans for this firing. You can call that conspiratorial thinking...I call it, how the world works.
This is hilarious (to me for other than obvious reasons). Just last night when I was perusing the posts pertaining to Harden's positively putrid defense, and Superbeard's take on the Rockettes pathetic performance, and watching the video of the team on the sidelines, I thought McHale might be fired soon. I then wondered if in fact Harden was sandbagging to help hasten his departure. Mission accomplished?
I hope they hire Mike D'antoni and fire him in a couple more months....this is fun! McHale should have been fired long ago..he was never coaching material
