    We're 6-9 after 15 right now. I thought we'd be around 8-12 or 9-11 after 20 games.

    Our next five are:

    CHI
    LAL
    LAC
    DAL
    IND

    I think we could beat the Lakers again, Indy, and possibly Dallas, so I'm going to stick with 8-12 after 20. Right on schedule :grin:

    Yeah I predicted 32 and mapped out every game too. We have the exact record I predicted although a couple of the wins and losses got switched. I have us 8-12 too.

    But I still see the possibility of some very different outcomes with this team. The 7 game winning streak felt like we were sinking to being one of the worst teams in the league but if you look at it two of those losses were basically flukes and we had a great chance of winning in 3 of the other games. The Spurs game in Portland and Charlotte losses were the only decisive noncompetitive losses. Compare that to the Juan Dixon, Ha Sung Jin Blazers 21 win team that was blown out over half their games.

    So with us being competitive could we get hot and make a run towards finishing the year .500? I definitely think its possible. Theres just so much parity in the NBA too, lack of dominant teams. But its also very possible Damian hurts a finger, or someone else gets an injury and we finish around 20 wins.

    Yes I agree with this. Its not that HCP predicted 22 wins or whatever; its his condescending attitude that he "knows hoops" and has a more valid prediction than others. Sure there might be a couple posters throwing a stupid idea out of their ass but there are many very knowledgeable hoop fans here with just as valid of rational for their predictions as HCP.

    Then HCP will tell us how we need to act as fans and when we should have hopes up or down and when to be level headed. We can decide for ourselves how to root for the team.

    I predicted 32 as well and I think that area fairly likely after what I have seen so far barring a big trade or serious injury to a key player

    I think it's that unpredictable nature that will put us around that 32 number. We might get hot and win 7 and then go on a long losing streak. I agree though, we could easily be .500 right now.

    And then complains about getting blasted in another thread about this topic...
    Its like he is a Star by insider trading or something. Just because he has an inside to the Blazers, doesn't make him any cooler or any more knowledgeable than many others with certain insider contacts or those that may not have inside contacts but study the game relentlessly.

    They dont suck anymore than your attitude towards the team or your weak posts that never explain anything and just downgrade the Blazers... Get lost with your redundant repeating phrases we suck.     Will this thread get bumped during our next 5 game losing streak? And why is this Baily guy tossing so much shade my way? Watch your team and enjoy, quit worrying about what I say or how said it. In over 30k posts I came on here ONCE and asked why I was getting blasted so much for saying we weren't a good team. Wasn't complaining. If you had joined us a few years back, you would see how crazy this is. I was getting blasted back then for being a homer who never posts anything negative. Who said I was more knowledgable than others on here? I just give my opinion. Take it or leave it rook.
    It's almost as if you have a crush on me. Worry about yourself and the team and not this Emmy Award winning insider.

    I think folks sometimes take this stuff way too seriously...anyone who knows Big John can handle the smack talk or should ...we're all fans here for the most part and it's ok to have doubts or be pessimistic this season.
