The issue I had with keeping Nic was he tried really hard to leave when he was a RFA. Why would we think he would not try again. Who is left on this team is close to? That and his refusal to attack the basket. It will be interesting to see how loyal he is to Charlotte this summer. I was a huge RHJ fan before the draft and was excited that we got him and pissed when we traded him. But until he shows he can shoot well enough for a wing, in order to be in the game in crunch time, I am going to say the trade is a wash. Right now I am not sure he is any better than Harkless, let alone Aminu. It is way too early to really judge these trades though.
We have Aminu AND Harkless. The age difference between Harkless and RHJ is only one year. Mason is CLEARLY better than his brother. It's not even close. Did you look at their numbers?
Harkless has the skill, but no motor. Dude plays too cool. He's not good enough to play like that and have an impact. Someone needs to light a fire up his ass, or he's gonna lose his PT.
Plum is decent center and improving every game. But the real problem for guarding down low he has to get stronger but he did good job on Howard and last night against the big boy in LA. So he learning how to use his quickness against bigger center.
Here's the reason why I like Plumlee - He's smart. He understands the game. He knows what's going on. He's athletic. He runs the floor. He attacks the rim. He's young and he's improving. If guys like Rolo are getting contracts like the one he got, then that just shows you the value of someone like Plumlee. He's going to get paid.
Needs a boost of confidence. 5 or so games in a row where puts up steady production with steady PT, I think we'll have something.
Plumlee summary: Pluses: Can jump well. Can pass very well. Doesn't take shots he can't hit. Minuses: Can't hit many shots Mediocre rebounder Mediocre shot-blocker He's pretty meh. Denver could find a Serbian version of him in the second round, no problem.
He's averaging 8 rebounds per game in a starting lineup where Aminu is averaging 7.7 per game and Dame is averaging 4.2. I don't think he's "mediocre."
Also, he can pass the fucking rock! I love seeing him with the ball in his hands 10-15 feet extended and hitting our cutters with on the money bounce passes. Both he and Ed Davis have shown a lot of court vision early on this season and it's a beautiful sight to behold!
HAHAHA... no he didnt. I mean many of us new he would be better, but he showed us next to nothing because of injuries and when he did come in he kinda sucked. Check the trade CJ thread????? Seriously. Rasta, usually you are pretty on the mark from what I read, but you are way off on this., Mediocre rebounder? Last 2 games were double doubles... Plum looks to me like the center of the future and the way centers were SUPPOSED to be. When did centers require a good outside shot? NEVER. His game is and SHOULD be inside.... and he is damned good at the inside game from what I have seen so far. We haven't had a center that can roll to the hoop like him since...???
Plum averages 8.1 rebounds in 28 minutes of action ... How again is that considered mediocre? He'd easily average a double-double if he played 34-36 minutes a night.
Probably the post of yours I disagree with the most....sorry Rasta...Plumlee is not going to be replaced by any Euro big anytime soon. He is young, smart and plays to his strengths. I think acquiring him was one of Olshey's best offseason moves this season
He mediocre rebounder he starting grab more than 10 rebounds a game lately no he no Drummond but he becoming a decent rebounder.
