Though, LA often played his best ball for us after being snubbed for the ASG... he does take it out on the court too. Now, will he play as hard after having been an All-Star? I dunno.
Hahaha no. I was laughed at for offering CJ/Vonleh/Plumlee. I don't think they'd want Kaman and/or Hendo.
Cap space doesn't matter this summer. Everyone has cap space. The NBA is raising the salary cap. Plus, they're Indy... nobody is going to sign there.
DPOY and final MVP gets him there. He's not marketed as one and probably isn't one from popularity contest but I'd put him up there. Kobe never had a season as good as Kawhi. You throw Kawhi on those Shaq or Pau Gasol teams in place of Kobe they win as many or more titles.
Anybody bummed watching Curry he has to shoot so much for the Warriors to be their best? Or LeBron on the Cavs years ago? Or Durant his first few years with the Sonices/Thunder? Or that Michael Jordan guy; why'd he have to shoot so much? Fans were so bummed..... What the hell kind of point is that? A teams primary scorer who doesn't provide much on defense has to shoot a ton? Well duh thats why the Blazers are building the team around him! He isn't leading the NBA in shots, points, minutes, or any such metric so I have no idea what your problem is.
HAHA yeah there's some over the top homers here from time to time but can't imagine one actually believing that.
Even if Dame does get worn out by shooting too much this year; so what? Just reduce his minutes or shots at that point. Its not like we need to pace him for some finals run. Our playoffs are the regular season this year so might as well let him go all out. Don't try to find a solution to a non existent problem.
To be fair, if Meyers won DPOY and MVP, he would be considered a superstar... it's just getting there from here that's the challenge!
If I were you Nate I would be a bit concerned about the company you keep regarding some of your trade ideas ; )
Yeah I would do that; basically everyone except Dame, Aminu and Davis for Paul George. A starting lineup of those 4 is much closer to building a title contender than what we have now. Would be worse for this year though. CJ, Plumlee, Crabbe, Vonleh, Meyers is a lot to give up and certainly puts all our risk in one player. Don't see any way Indy is interested though. But yeah thats sort of the premise I think Neil will explorer with the Blazers team building. Eventually he will look to trade a number of our young players to a team with an allstar that cannot contend and needs to rebuild.
