I'd rather include Aminu and retain Plumlee, but otherwise I basically agree. However, as Fonz suggested, PG13 isn't going anywhere. If Indy sucked this year, then maybe, but they're playing much to well to sell off their star.
Why is CP3 higher than Lillard? Lillard is far better. CP3 is not an All Star this season. And he's not the best at any of those positions. Yea Bulls fans were bummed that Jordan had to shoot so much. I hear Warriors fans are jumping off the GG Bridge because Curry has to shoot a lot for them to win. Um no. You forget how good Kobe used to be. 45/18 games against the Kings. Dominating games down the stretch. Leonard isn't half the player Kobe used to be. If he was, the Spurs wouldn't have lost in the first round last year.
Kobe has more 50 point games than half our roster has started.... Kobe in his prime was top ten ever in basketball. Top 3 in his position. Leonard is not even close to that in my book.
Kobe was as effective as Dwayne Wade. Great players but not close to top10 all time. He's in the same tier as Drexler and a couple dozen lesser tier hall of fame players. Kobe had the LA media hype and road first the coattails of Shaq (who's a better all time player) and then the Gasol/Bynum/Odom frontline group. That group of bigs was the best combo of frontcourt players in the league. Kobe has some of the worst clutch time statistics. He was a one time MVP. He had an ineffective habit of forcing his own shot instead of making the game easier for teammates. Kobe was a bit like Westbrook and Iverson in that his physicality and bulk scoring was impressive to watch. He had some great highlights. But in terms of leading a team to victories there were many far better players.
Hard to argue with that, though I would say a bit better than the likes of Drexler, Iverson, etc, because for better or worse, like it or not, he has rings. I think he was also more athletic overall than either of these guys. I thought we were talking more about individualism. Now as a team player, yeah, no. He is a poison like Iverson and Westbrook.
