Remember when some of "us" were wondering how Cashman missed out on signing good old Jed? For shortstop.
For a mere 23 million for three years!

The Houston Astros have reached agreement on a three-year contract with infielder Jed Lowrie, general manager Jeff Luhnow announced Monday. Lowrie will receive a guaranteed $23 million, according to a source.

I see your thinking is still limited, Lowie was wanted not just as a SS but also because he can play 2B & 3rd base. And because he's a switch hitter. And 23M for 3 years is considered a bargain for a player with that kind of versatility.

And NEWSFLASH! this is old news that happened 3-4 days ago. Try & keep up.
