Really? I'd give it a 6/10. Certainly not as good as Casino Royale and I liked Skyfall better as well.

I've gotten into another Asian movie Netflix binge, and if you like serial killer movies, I recommend "Killers" and "I saw the Devil".

On the outside The Martian always seemed a bit too much like it wanted to ride interstellars coat tails for me. I might watch it when it comes out just because it's gotten such good reviews.

Was that the first time you've seen taxi driver?

You should definitely watch The Martian, it's not really similar to Interstellar thematically but I see why you would think that. I also read the book after watching the movie and absolutely loved it.

It was my first time seeing Taxi Driver, not sure why it took me so long to watch it. I've been trying to watch more classics that I have never seen before lately.

I always watch The Roadhouse when I get the chance.
I get a kick out of it, quite a bit more than reality but fun. Reminds me of the day when I worked Saturday nights at Jake's Roadhouse, down around the mountian from where Mags lives,
on your way to Pasadena. Working at and going to school at Caltech then. Anyway, cool movie that Patrick Swayze did.

Ultimately it is my goal to watch every movie on this list. So far I've only seen 69 of them, so it seems like a daunting task and ultimately there are movies I'm sure I won't enjoy, but so far I've enjoyed every one of them that I have seen.

I've been using this list of the 1001 best movies ever made. Letterboxd is a great site to keep track of movies, I've seen 235 (23%) of the movies on that list. I input and rate every movie I watch (that I haven't seen before) so I also know that I've seen 119 movies this year. I really never thought I would watch movies from the 1930s but I've watched and enjoyed several of them.

I just saw Creed... That's an A+ movie for sure, it was pretty much perfect. I've loved the Rocky movies since I was a little kid so I'm biased but I think it's my favorite movie ever. Definitely recommended to everyone.

12/1: I watched St. Vincent starring Mellisa McCarthy and Bill Murray . It was excellent. A mean gambling addict NY Long Island loser meets new neighbors. He inadvertantly becomes a baby sitter for the young boy who has gains respect for him and developes honor and character emulating from this unlikely man who's past is revealed. He also suffers a Ischemic stroke, of which, I am familiar. Rent it on Netflix. The best character I have seen Murray portray. IMO

I checked that out from the library today. I've seen it several times, but WWII movies are definitely the most rewatchable film genre for me for me, so I couldn't help myself.

I saw tonight at the Hollywood theater "Entertainment" starring Greg Turkington of Neil Hamburger fame. If you like the Neil Hamburger character you'll probably like it.
