That sure does make me want to tank but it's probably going to Philly, Lakers, or Boston (via Brooklyn's pick). That's good for the league. Those teams need help.
Sadly, I think that is true. If there is a prop bet that would allow me to bet on Boston or LA getting the #1 pick, I'd probably put money on that.
Hopefully not LA. That would be too perfect for them to get Simmons right after Kobe leaves. Maybe that's why they're letting Kobe throw up air balls joyfully every night.
The lakers are never good for the league. Yes, I am being irrational and illogical. But damnit, I do not like them!
What do you mean "maybe"? LAL are in FULL ON tank mode. The Blazers are not. The Blazers are in full on developmental mode. The losses are just a fortuitous outcome.
Good lord this guy does not belong in college. Reminds me of KD and Beasley's freshman year. Just dominant players who need to play with and against adults, not kids What a dumbass rule that was to force guys to go to college-- installed just to protect stupid GMs like John Nash.
Beasley actually needed to do at least 3 years in college. For maturity. And it isn't like he lit the NBA on fire. Luckily Simmons seems much more like KD in maturity so yes he doesn't need to be there but a lot of players who are studs do. I think it is a bad rule but I also hope more kids go (and do stay) for that reason.
Ya Beasley had the game, but not the brain. But his #s and impact in college are off the charts good. Put up 26/12 with 2 blks and solid percentages from all over the floor as a 18 yo. Nearly identical stats to KD as a freshman. But the brain thing makes a big difference
"That's good for the league." That's the equivalent of saying keeping the Blazers down is good for the league. Fuck the league. I root for the Blazers. And fuck the league for keeping the Blazers down, and doing it because doing so is "good for the league". Fuck them raw.
Heard THIS one before: https://www.si.com/fannation/nba/fa...ys-ben-simmons-is-back-to-all-star-level-nets
LOL it's fake news bro! While we are at it, Simmons is great example of tanking for the #1 and getting greatly disappointed lol
Of course he was ROY and an All Star... the real lesson here is that Portland should only draft guys who don't go on to suffer debilitating injuries. Really no matter what pick they're selecting at the scouting department needs to be clairvoyant or else I'm going to whine about it on a message board STOMP
