I do hope You and Your Girl enjoy these, as well as anyone else, this is the kind of stuff that makes my guts hurt from laughing, as well as some very touching photos....... _____________________________________________________ this is a bit slow, but worth the wait....... _____________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________
Well Done Matts, my girl and I like animals in general, dogs in particular. Denver the Lab, I've seen quite a few time but still get a charge. We currently have a Beagle whom we rescued 9 years ago and he's been one hell of a great dog.
Glad you and the Missus enjoyed these. We had a (GSD)- German Shepherd Kennel for 30 Years, prior to retiring, and bred Scottish Terrier's as well. I've always thought GSD's are the ultimate "Do All" dog, still do. Our current Lil' guy is a 20lb Tibetan Spaniel. The AKC Breed Manual mentions how Tibetan Spaniels are "so Cat like". Tho' he has all the qualities of a Canine, he indeed likes Cat toys, string et al, more than his dog toys. I shit you not, this lil' guy can and has jumped on top of an 8' block wall with ease. Prior to keeping his nails cut, he chased a cat up a tree, and I shit you not, he got a good 9 feet up a few trees. He's also the only dog, who's ever sat on my lap, watches the Computer Screen, and on occasion has to pound on the keyboard. We call him Homer....
Dogs are simply awesome creatures. My first was a Boxer, had a Heinz 57 or then got into Beagles. I served in one unit with a St Bernard mascot, and in Berlin we had a German Shepherd named Toby. Got many a look at the G-Shepherd used by the East Side to run down escapees. My girl and I both view anyone who doesn't like dogs as one not to be trusted.
...we've got a "community dog"...everyone feeds it...it's a mutt but often times those are the best ones. ...Tote has a couple of Dobes, I believe.
In the case of "Mutts" I'd believe they inherit the best qualities of the parents. Tote got a chuckle out of a post I made about a potential thiefs encounter with a Dobe. A friend of mine in DC told me someone broke into his uncles house through a basement window. Soon after arriving in the basement this guy was set upon by my friends Uncles Dobe like white on rice. I laughed myself silly over that one . Oh well go where you're not supposed to be and face the consequences.
Can't say enough how awesome dogs are, their love is unconditional. No matter where I am I make it a point to compliment another persons dog, make the "pet parents day"
