Cool idea. Of course German domestic flights are shorter than (many of) ours...

The last Plane trip I took, one my wife insisted on, to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. She took the kids, and grand kids for week all paid for in a bundle. Geez I didn't even want to look at that bill!
The icing on the cake came in about four days. I was so fucking sick, wearing out the path to the head. Didn't dare eat anything but hot cakes, hard to screw those up. Paying a grand sum to have people fix you up like that is not my idea of fun. It never goes like that when you take your home (Sail Boat) with you.

My prediction is that self driving cars will end car ownership as we know it. In 10-20 years there will be no reason to own a car of your own unless you live in a rural area or just enjoy self driving. Car ownership is kind of a drag for most people, parking, traffic, paying for parking, maintenance, gas, repairs, insurance, storage........ I would much rather pay a monthly subscription to UBER and have an auto car at my door step, preheated and ready to go in minutes.

Airlines and hotels will adjust, there will still be needs for both.

Hacking will pretty much prevent this from ever becoming a reality.

The goal is for the Feds to be able to have complete control your of your mobility.

Yep, same way the telephone was invented so that your conversations could be recorded.

We're not talking about the invention of the car, just new technology that limits/removes your ability to control it's use/operation and puts that control into your government's hands.

So with your telephone analogy it's more like an app that tracks your movements, purchases, conversations...only it goes a few steps farther to the point where with the keying of a computer command all such vehicles could be shut down simultaneously.

Hilarious. It's going to happen and it's going to happen within the next 10-15 years. Embrace change.

Only if the American people continue to show up only at shearing time. If they elect leaders that adhere to the Constitution and the people hold them accountable to defending that law,
    we will be fine.

Well, they are being recorded, and without a warrant.
