Hours after Donald Trump suggested the U.S. ban Muslims from entering the United States, the leading Republican presidential candidate said America should also consider “closing the Internet up in some way” to fight Islamic State terrorists in cyberspace. Trump mocked anyone who would object that his plan might violate the freedom of speech, saying “these are foolish people, we have a lot of foolish people.” “We have to go see Bill Gates,” Trump said, to better understand the Internet and then possibly “close it up.” Trump characterized the problem of Internet extremism by saying, “We’re losing a lot of people because of the Internet.” http://www.dailydot.com/politics/trump-closing-the-internet-up-in-some-way/?tw=dd
Here's Trump's complete statement on his proposal to crack down on the Internet due to ISIS: We have kids that are watching the Internet, and they want to be masterminds. And then you wonder why we lose all these kids, they want to be masterminds; they're young, they're impressionable, they want to join ISIS. And we have our anchors—I think I've got 'em mostly stopped, have you noticed that, they don't say it as much—but they say, the 'young mastermind', oh he's brilliant. I don't think he's got a high IQ. In Paris, I called him the guy with the dirty, filthy hat. 'K? Not a smart guy, a dummy. A mastermind? Bing bing bing, starts shooting everybody. The press has to be responsible; they're not being responsible. We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet. We have to see Bill Gates and a lot of different people who really understand what's happening and maybe, in some ways, closing that Internet up in some ways. Somebody will say, 'Oh, freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people, we have a lot of foolish people. We've got to maybe do something with the Internet because they're recruiting by the thousands, they're leaving our country, and then when they come back, we take them back. 'Where were you?' 'I was fighting for ISIS.' 'Oh, come on back. Go home, enjoy yourself.' When they leave our country and they go to fight or go to ISIS, they never can come back.
Trump may think you can block Al Gore's InterTubes similar to how Eddie Murphy put a banana in the tailpipe. And that just inadvertently may have reached "triple-entendre" status
The things Trump says are so ridiculous it's hard not to laugh. Then I remember there are actually people who genuinely want him to be the president of the United States and I don't feel like laughing anymore.
There are actually people who want Jeb Bush to be elected. Or Hillary Clinton. Laughter is my only option concerning our voters.
Once we close up the Internet, we can communicate with each other with our guns. Hey girl, what ya doin' down there? Dancin' alone every night While I live right above you I can hear your music playin' I can feel your body swayin' One floor below me You don't even know me, I love you Oh, my darling, shoot three times Through the ceiling if you want me... barfo
I think its getting obvious that trump is getting freaked that he will actually win and wants to make sure that can't happen. this whole election is just a way for hm to get a group of hard core weirdos to make him richer over the next few years.
The stuff he is saying now is seriously fringe, bat shit crazy stuff. He's smart, i have to think he's throwing the race. But the again, it doesn't seem to matter to his supporters. He could suggest tea bagging Lebanese toddlers and his poll numbers would go up. So perhaps you are right.
Mags going full mags. I don't know anyone like this. it was one thing in portland which is a liberal hangout, but here in Walla Walla, lots of republicans, but they all despise Trump. I know its a small pool, and that he has tons of supporters, but Mags and a couple on this board are the only ones I know of personally.
I love Mags. I think it's his passion that has made him successful in business. He gets obsessed with something and completely focuses on it. My dog has the same obsession with squirrels, she even learned how to climb trees to get at them.
Well me thinking Mags is wrong as wrong can be in his support for T doesn't mean I don't like Mags. He's awesome, I love his passion and fanaticism in all things from Blazers to acid to Trump.
