<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>No Nowitzki. No problem. Dallas, despite star forward Dirk Nowitzki being sidelined with a sinus infection, defeated the Nuggets 89-85 Sunday night at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets also were depleted. But the Mavericks were the stronger team down the stretch, overcoming a 69-63 deficit at the end of the third quarter for their 10th straight win. The win enabled Dallas coach Avery Johnson to become the fastest coach in NBA history to reach 100 wins. Johnson is 100-31 while the Red Auerbach began 100-35.</div>meh, linkI think it's very impressive that Avery has done so well. Obviously he has gotten some help by having a great team with a great foundation coming from Nellie's work, but it's still something to be proud of.I'm also very happy that we could win without Dirk again. If you had asked me even at the end of last year, I would not think we'd be able to beat these teams without Dirk. Even when we have had him, he has only been the high scorer in one of the games during the streak. I like Josh Howard's play and the play from our role players, as I have said before. Anyway, congrats Avery.

Yeah Josh Howard has been amazing lately. I even added a thread in the player comparison between Howard and Marion. I think Howard is now an all star type player. He continues to get underrated throughout the league will hopefully start getting recognition.

I was gonna do a count down on my sig for Averys 100th win. Around when he got like 90, but I forgot. But great job by Avery getting the 100. What a great milestone for such a young coach. He deserved it so much. Its always great to have someone so dedicated to their job, with any sport that is. If Avery doesn't get coach of this year this year, he'll be a close secondAs for Howard, we could see him average 20 ppg this season. To bad everyone who votes for All-Star is terribly bias twords the "star" players

I think this is great of Avery to achieve so fast, and also there's no reason for Howard to not make the All-Star squad. There's a great breakdown on db.com which says if Howard does not make the All-Star squad, it basically means the Mavs are being led by one, Dirk and that means he's MVP.

What's "db.com" Rok?Sorry that I don't know...just never heard of it.Also on a side note...do you guys realize that the Mavs are 24-3 since they started the season at 0-4...that's just freakin' crazy...especially considering all the guys that have been injured and the few games they've played without Dirk.BTW...If Josh Howard isn't on the All-Snubbed team when he doesn't make the All-Star team(sincey you know he won't be voted or picked in), I'll be extremely upset, lol.

I think China has a say in why Battier has so many votes. He's definately not getting them from us.

I forgot Battie was a Rocket. Thats why. Justice is right, they probably do only vote for Rockets. They also probably have numerous ip's. Voting all day
