The Longest Ride It's a really good chick flick with enough other stuff thrown in to make it interesting for us guys. If your woman is wanting to watch something that doesn't have explosions, car chases, and gun fights then this is a good choice. 7.1 on the IMDB 8.5 on the Sly
The Martian. Excellent, well done scifi movie. Only criticism was the pointless Chinese coming to the rescue subplot. This is the future of movies, add something Chinese friendly so it will make $$$$ in China. 8.2 IMDB 8.5 Sly
But don't Chinese women hold up half the sky? They had to redo that Red Dawn remake after it was already completed to remove Chinese soldiers and turn them into N. Koreans.
On Utube::::::::::: For great FREE entertainment and a view of the 1940's including snappy acting, fashion and cars watch Micheal Shayne detective series starring Lloyd Nolan. He is a good actor worth your opinion.
Yep, I saw that one in theaters and really enjoyed it. Not super hyped for batman vs superman, although I enjoyed man of steel. I'll probably wait for that to come to blu Ray unless it is getting amazing reviews.
Saw Macbeth with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard today. I've never read any shakespeare. Trying to understand Shakespeare with all the metaphors let alone through a Scottish accent was a bit taxing. I liked it, but if I ever watch it again I'll probably throw on the subtitles.
Saw Creed today. It exceeded my expectations. Really like the actor that played Creeds son. Worth seeing in the theater. 8/10.
Watched Cloud Atlas last week. Anyone else seen it? Stars Tom Hanks and Halle Barry. Came out in 2012, but didn't have good marketing so didn't do well. Still, great cinematography and definitely worth seeing if you ask me.
Have you seen Fruitvale Station? Same director (Ryan Coogler) as Creed and Michael B. Jordan stars in it as well. Really well done movie about the shooting of Oscar Grant. I also just saw it was announced today that Coogler is directing the Black Panther movie for Marvel Studios.
He was on the first season of The Wire and on Friday Night Lights as well. When I saw Fruitvale Station I didn't recognize him, but I knew I saw him somewhere before. He's been in a bunch of things: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0430107/
No problem. I don't know if you have Netflix but it's on there. And thanks for reminding me about Cloud Atlas, I've been meaning to watch it but I had forgotten about it.
