    I remember he was a very good player. No superstar, but 6th man and could be a quality starter in a pinch.

    53 is really young.

    You started a thread for one of the two equal John Williams whose careers lasted exactly the same years. Just because this one had a nickname. (Look up "John Williams" in Basketball-Reference and it only returns the one without the nickname, the one with the injuries.)

    Yesterday, when Dolph Schayes, the best or 2nd-best PF of his decade (Bob Petitt), died, I looked up his 1956-58 Syracuse team and saw that just in the last 10 months, Earl Lloyd and Bob Hopkins had died. No thread for the greats.

    Speaking of the morbid greats, Mediocre Man, if you read this, I hope I didn't piss you off. But if I did, what the hell. For the next 50 years it's party party party! Awesome!
