71, Forwards back check. It is AV's line combinations all over the place. He just pulls them out if his ass to see if they will work.

Kreider continues to make idiotic decisions.

Anybody want to mention anything positive? McIlrath standing up to guys in the crease? Hank with a strong period? Brassard finally looking to shoot? Etem with one of his strongest periods yet? AV finally settling on some combinations at first intermission that seemed to work, even though drunk Sam Rosen thought they were still changing?

    No? Ok, carry on.

Third period breakdowns have been a problem so hopefully they can keep it together and get 2pts out of it.

And our forward depth was good based on the assumption that Kreider didn't suck, Miller didn't suck, Etem didn't suck, and Hayes wouldn't be subpar through the first 30 games. If those things continue all season...yeah we are f'd and we don't have nearly enough forward depth.

I will join the party for one thing though...I honestly dont think Girardi has connected on a pass all night. No exaggeration. Putrid game by him.

That goal pisses me off also. Hall was all alone in front for 5 seconds. G and McD having a bad game.

We'll score again...but will the Oilers also is the question.

Keep that positive spin going Chuck, that's the spirit.

Good lord Girardi just got absolutely bullied. Might be the worst game he's ever played. Unfortunate way to start the period, they had all the momentum.

Unlike you 71 I am not going to curl up into the fetal position because McD and Girardi have been awful tonight. I will leave that to you and the group of negative whiners in here...LOL.

McD also...can't leave him out tonight. That pair has had a terrible game. No way to spin that one.

Girardi did miss practice yesterday with ice on his knee, so maybe he is banged up tonight. That pair is each - 3. Terrible performance by them.

Who's curling into a fetal position, just commenting on the game. What's it going to take, falling out of a playoff spot before you guys stop avoiding looking the other way? It's ok to not try spinning everything as a positive, really it is.

Just read that Girardi has been on ice for the last EIGHT goals this team has given up, including all 5 tonight.

Somehow he was a + 9 into tonight.

As for you 71...the team is in 2nd place. And you whined through December last season also. Again it's what you and the crew do. No issues there, just don't act like it doesn't happen...LOL.

And no one is saying we don't have some issues we need to clean up, most notably CK and Miller and Hayes playing better upfront and Staal and G playing better on D, but you guys act as if this is a last place team that is horrible. That is way over the top.

To me I was thinking 3rd in the Met most of the summer, maybe 2nd, so I am not shocked right now. We were never going to dominate the regular season again like last season I didn't think.

I thought G had a few very strong games in a row coming into tonight. No idea what happened tonight but his head isn't there today at all.

And this game still isn't over...
