If the Blazers are good enough to win all these games and purposely put the breaks on at the end of games to make sure we lose for a lotto ball ( which I hope isn't the case) then that is a disgrace to the game of basketball, ( I would say its a disgrace to the national basketball league, but the league is already so disgraced by crooked officiating and behind the scenes dirtiness that it would be redundant) and it is especially a disgrace to the team, the players themselves and the fans. If you have the talent to win, you do it. Fuck the lotto, don't sale yourselves out Blazers.
That's not what's happening. Dame would never accept it. And Stotts ALWAYS coaches for regular season wins...especially when his job is on the line.
No way. These NBA dudes are not programmed that way, they are competitors. No effing way Damian is losing on purpose. This conspiracy talk is entertaining though. Any other theories?
This team is their record. There is a reason Vegas put the over-under at about 28 games to start the season and it wasn't some vast conspiracy to throw games.
The majority of us (myself included) just use it for fun. It's just fitting that the year we rebuild all this happens. Dame would not have it, anyway. But, if there's a year for all of this to happen, have it be the year we're rebuilding, and not the year we are expected to do big things. Makes it MUCH easier.
I loved what Olshey said about tanking...I've never seen an NBA player that would try to lose his job to a lottery pick that would play his position next season..they want to win and succeed.
Front office tells the coach ....don't coach..let em flounder..we don't care..they're young, they flounder.
We look great at times and are fun to watch but its easy to bog down our O and break apart our D, it puts us in a fun spot where we are competitive and will win some games but we are most definitely going to be in the lottery and probably in a fight for a top 8 pick. Lillard has got to learn how to deal with defenses who seem to ignore the rest of our team and just focus solely on him when its down to crunch time, thats something he will learn how to handle only through it happening night after night like it is right now. The rest of our team has to learn what the hell do when so much of the D is focused on Lillard instead of standing on the court like Chickens with their heads cut off.
