I'll go for this if one thing happens. Michael Jordan gets to play for the East. Ok two things, MJ has to regrow the Hitler stache. Ok, three things. MJ gets to take whatever Lance Armstrong recommends leading up to it. Ok....four things. Kobe has to dress like an Arabian princess or whatever it was that he was supposed to be for that photoshoot.
It all depends on how you view the AS game and its the same debate that was had for Durant last year. If you view it as a game that rewards the players for this season then he definitely shouldn't' get in. If you view it as a celebration of the game where the stars of the league get a chance to have a weekend all about them then even in his advanced age where he isn't near the player he was even 3 years ago then Kobe should get in.
There should be 12 spots on each team for the coaches and fans, and one spot for Silver to fill with a guy that might not even play much. Give Kobe his stupid 2 minutes of game time and then let him sit.
Is he so fragile that he needs a break more than the other All-Stars? Are the Blazers' chances of making the playoffs somehow increased by having a rested Lillard? Having a 3-time All-Star on the roster is worth more in terms of making the Blazers' more attractive to free agents and getting more respect from the refs than anything that would be gained by having Lillard sit at home during the All-Star break.
Haven't you ever heard that the third time is the charm? Jeez, do I have to explain everything around here?
They probably want to do that Jordan last all star "emotional" bullshit all over again. I wonder if they'll bring Mariah Carey and her big boobs to sing for him again.
Some of that is a matter of technique on Dame's part. He's getting contact, but he hasn't mastered the technique of demonstrating to the refs that there's been contact. He needs to study Westbrook and Harden.
Harden gets to the line. A lot. In his case, I'd agree he's doing something wrong right, but the refs buy it.
He gets to the line, but he focuses SO MUCH on getting fouls that it hurts the rest of his game. It doesn't translate well to the playoffs.
He still got in. He was still an All-Star. With that said, how do you not realize that his fingers were fucked up?
