Because there are no other good Centers in the East besides him and Shaq..Plus, he can dunk well. You're right that he wouldnt have been there if he wasnt a great defender, but that's a rarity. Usually it is just the best offensive players in the league that go to the ASG.

I dont know why everyone has Villanueva as the SF...He is 6"10/6"11...

Also if they decide not to start Deron at the two and bench him Monta Ellis could work. As for rookies I think Marcus Milsap could get on the squad as well.
CB4, you sure do like to rip people to shreds.Villanueva plays like a SF more than a PF. He plays a lot of SF for the Bucks also.I posted my sophmore team in the sophmore thread.G- Randy FoyeG- Rudy GayF- Adam MorrisonF- Jorge GarbajosaC- Shelden WilliamsBackups:G- Rajon RondoG- Brandon RoyF- Andrea BargnaniF- Paul Millsap

Villanueva could play SF easily and it would give him an advantage on D. The All-star weekend is showing of offense for the fans but thats not how the coaches think about it, the coaches want to win.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jan 1 2007, 05:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Why the hell do you have Andrea as a F? He plays C more than F, and he has had the better season than Shelden Williams.</div>Oh my god! What the hell is my problem?!?!? What kind of idiot am I? Listing Andrea Bargnani as a Forward... pffft. He plays center in Toronto because the only real center there is Rasho Nesterovic, which isn't really saying much to begin with. He's soft. He plays on the perimeter. Just because he plays some center for a team with no Chris Bosh and an overall weak front line, with one center (who is average), doesn't "make him a center" in the NBA. He is an oversized small forward, in my book.

I dont know, you have to remember these players like Adam Morrison, Rudy Gay and Randy Foye dominated alotve the sophomore players in college just a couple yrs ago.
