Alright, I'm looking to add more rock type songs to my collection.I like Breaking Benjamin. They pretty good. So I want bands that are like them or sort of like them.Help me out.
I'm going to make some guesses here. Stuff like Bullet for my valentine, 30 seconds to Mars maybe even AFI... those are in the same genres as BB
Sugar, We're Going Down - Fall Out BoyWelcome To My Life - Simple PlanSomebody Told Me - The KillersDance, Dance - Fall Out BoyI Write Sins Not Tragedies - Panic! At The DiscoYou're set.
More emo music? All American Rejects...I like Breaking Benjamin. Get Death Cab for Cutie. There not the same, but I think you'd like them too.
Good. I was having second thoughts about you Zards. For a second I thought mabye you wore hair over your eyes
If you really want to rock, you have to do it by genres. Here are a few of the best in a few genres that I listen to most of the time. PunkThe ClashThe RamonesBad ReligionBlues RockCreamBlack SabbathLed Zeppelin*******************PsychedelicPink FloydRushJimi Hendrix ExperiencePower Pop RockRolling StonesBeatlesThe WhoAC/DCVan HalenGrungePearl JamNirvanaSoundgardenAlice In ChainsPresent-DayRed Hot Chili PeppersWeezerThe White StripesDave Matthews BandThat should set you up for a while. If you like a certain genre more, make it known in the thread and I'm sure people will tell you more bands that sound like them. I love music and know a ton about a ton of bands. I might actaully know more about music than basketball.

I've never heard of this term before. I'd classify those bands as Alternative bands but each of them are quite different in their own right.I find it quite annoying how the term 'emo' has been blown out of proportion by the media. The stereotype of 'emo' bands are guys with long hair that cover their eyes who cry, whine and promote the use of self-harm. Many fans don't know but bands like Weezer and Jimmy Eat World were considered early emo bands. Bands like The Get Up Kids are emo but the media don't blame them for teenage suicides but instead point their fingers at bands like My Chemical Romance. All I'm saying is that a lot of bands are emo but are not frowned upon by the media because they do not have the same image. By no means am I trying to defend 'emo's' but the stereotype annoys me just a little when the audience judges a band by their appearance as opposed to their music.

Weezer in no way was ever considered emo. They've always been Alternative with punk influenences.
Nash you must be emo. Because I've never seen anyone stick up for the word "emo" like that in my life. Unless you were one, idk why you would care so muchLol Zards
