Well, Deng is washed up, Whiteside is an UFA I think, and Winslow is...... not a polished rookie.

Sheridan Hoops likes to stir the pot. They've also thrown Boogie Cousins out there. Whiteside plus Winslow is a tempting combination for either of them. But I don't see why the Heat would go after Howard unless they're really worried about losing Whiteside (they don't have his Bird rights) or he's really a headcase behind closed doors. But then again, remember that they got him for nothing, so maybe they view him as "found money".

The other thing is that Morey always asks a ton for his "assets" so if you actually think you can use Dwight Howard you're going to have to offer a lot for the privilege.

Only to use him as a trade piece to get a great player...he's a coach killer...I think he's gotten 3 fired so far he's failing on a stacked team with a generous GM and a tax friendly Texas like Florida...no coincidence there..also we really don't need what he brings..we have those guys and much cheaper.

Well let's trade for him and then trade him again AFTER he's "killed" Terry. :)

Agree, I don't think it's that bad of a trade. There is no way Whiteside returns back to Miami anyway.

Anybody watch that Kings vs. Rockets game tonight? So fun to watch. Love watching Houston look absolutely awful.

Edit: Kings look surprisingly good. No Rondo tonight either.

My sauces tell me that Cleveland wants to tank. They are offering Lebron for Meyers straight up.
What should we do? Don't forget Meyers is a potential superstar.

Random note, I actually really like Philly's future outlook. They might be causing all this uproar currently, but they could potentially add 4 lottery picks next year.

That said, a problem might arise from having Saric/Noel/Okafor and Embiid. All of them generally occupy the same general space, but add Ben Simmons to that core 4, and you've got one of the best collection of young assets in the league. Expecting them to make some moves in the summer to consolidate.

All this nonsense about them being a mockery is way too overblown. If you want a true mockery, look at what Billy King is doing in BKN. Or Kupcake is doing in LA.

Lakers actually have some really nice young guys on their roster. Jordan Clarkson is a stud, Julius Randall is killing it with his nightly double doubles (hes only 20 as well), and the last 5 games or so Russell has stepped it up. So the Lakers are actually doing really well with drafting young guys its their obsessions of hitting a home run in free agency that makes them look bad..

Lol 11 double doubles in 25 games is certainly not too shabby but lets not pretend it is "nightly".

Lakers don't know WTF they're doing. Benching Russell and Randle in place of Lou Will and Brandon Bass, allowing Kobe to jack 25 shots a game.

They're tanking, but there is 0 development happening there. They have no direction.

    Mockery.

They dont need to development quite yet. Clarkson is already a stud, Randall is the next Zbo, Rusell ok needs some time but hes had some great numbers off the bench the last 5 games or so.. They know their playing for nothing this year so why not try to keep their lottery pick

A tanking team that doesn't develop or play the few young players it has.

    What a great strategy.

I don't understand the hand-wringing over the playing time for the Lakers' youngsters. Russell is second on the team in minutes behind only Clarkson, and has started 22 of 25 games. Randle is right behind him, has started 20 of 25 games this year, and is getting the most PT of any Lakers big--even more than Hibbert. Seems like they're giving their rookies plenty of time.
