Accorrding to this site - http://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/ We have 48mil in salary and 46 mil guaranteed for next year, not including the players becoming free-agents. Here's a list of the highest paid players if you think we should make a trade to use the cap-room this year: http://www.spotrac.com/nba/rankings/ I think this is a good site for contract details - http://www.spotrac.com/nba/
Another important side-note. Dame is currently still on a rookie contract, his new contract - if I'm not mistaken - starts counting against the cap only after this season
Oh, I wasn't sure if it could also impact any incoming trades as well. But to answer your question, yes, I definitely think he'll demand a trade before the deadline. He wants to play for the Jazz.
I prefer this spreadsheet. We have 44.5M in salary currently plus cap holds. We will probably wait to utilize cap space (if Neil thinks that is possible) before signing Leonard and Crabbe. They have cap holds of 7.7M and 1.2M each. With the cap supposedly at 90M, we will have space but so will everyone else.
CJ, Plumlee, and Crabbe make a combined $5M this year. That has to be the best value trio in the league, or at least right up there.
Still very active on facebook. I was just chatting with him the other day. I'll see if I can get him to make a cameo.
So, if we decide to keep our free agents (I'd keep most if not all) we'd have to spend our money during the season or we wouldn't have nearly as much to spend
