There's a reason why Denver dumped him for nothing. He's a piece of crap. He has multiple DUIs on his record. He has talent but he's a mess.
Not worth it. It's not like he's a headcase who is putting up good numbers. He's a headcase that sucks right now. He completely bombed in Houston.
Which is why we can get him for cheap. His DUIs are from 2014. I would really like him as a 3rd guard with CJ and Dame
I would have said maybe if they gave up their draft pick, but it looks like Denver ripped them off too and took it. Clint Capela along with him then?
No, his DUIs are from this year. He's due for a suspension coming up. One was in January of 2015 and the second was in July. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...d-two-games-following-drunken-driving-arrests
Lawson/Howard for Meyers/Henderson/Kaman. Of course, it would completely blow our cap space, and probably not make us significantly better. But trade machine says it works, so there's that...
Howard would be the worst thing ever for this team. His main rumored complaint is not having the ball enough because its always in Harden's hand.s Same thing would happen here. He would be expected to rebound, set screens and play defense. He is concerned about his career numbers and will want to go to a team that will run the ball through him. That would never happen here. Plus, he is the softest player in NBA history with that type of body. He is a mental midget and proved that in LA.
Actually, I would think that Howard would get a lot more touches here than he does in Houston simply because Lillard has already demonstrated the ability to defer a greater amount of touches to a big guy. The question is more how well would Howard fit into Stotts' offense. If he still has 80% of the strength/athleticism he demonstrated against us in the 2014 playoffs, I think he'd be able to be very successful here. Of course, there's absolutely no chance of Morey trading him here for spare parts, so it doesn't really matter.
He could play the role Frazier is supposed to play. Have a 3-player rotation for most of the guard minutes between him, Dame and CJ
Isn't that what we want this year, someone to help drive the tank? A pure ball handler would be nice, but obviously not someone like that who you don't want to build around long-term.
