Steve Nash (Of course, its the main reason he's MVP)Jason KiddChauncey BillupsAndre MillerChris PaulAlot of PG's are great passers, you have to be to set up the plays, Deron Williams and Baron Davis could have both easily been on there as well, not to mention others.
I don't agree with Snow being in the top 5, nor do I agree with B-Jax as the honorable mention. Snow is a good passer who never makes mistakes, yes, but he's not a top 5 playmaker in the NBA by any means. Bobby Jackson is a solid passer, but he's a scoring combo guard that is not a top 5 playmaker at all.1. Steve Nash2. Jason Kidd3. Chris Paul4. Andre Miller5. But Sebastian Telfair? I like Bassy a lot, don't get me wrong, and he's a good young playmaker with some good vision, but top 5? Even top 10? I don't even think he's top 20. And ahead of Andre Miller? Wow...

Some of those guys may average more assists, but that's because they play quite a bit more than TJ. TJ is an excellent playmaker, and he has some of the best court vision I've ever seen.BTW, he is 2nd behind Nash in AP48M.

1. Nash: Do I need an explanation?2. Kidd: Finds people on the break better than anyone, throws some awesome lobs too.3. Paul: Threads the needle better than almost anyone. I've seen him whiz some passes that I thought were impossible. 4. Billups: One of the best at anticipating the movements of the guys on his offense and having the ball there for them and ready to shoot.5. LeBron: Great vision, his height allows him to make passes most point guards can't5a. Knight: Like CB32 said, SO underrated. Honorable Mention: Iverson, Miller, Williams, Davis, Felton

1. Steve Nash2. Jason Kidd3. Chris Paul4. Andre Miller5. Luke RidnourI think the two spots still have to be reserved for Nash and Kidd. Nash's passing abilities have taken him to 2 straight MVP awards, and Kidd has been a phenomenal player(and passer) for years. Chris Paul is emerging and represents the next generation of the Nash, Kidd esque players. To me, Paul is the next Isiah Thomas. Andre Miller is a fantastic playmaker who can run a speedy offense. Also, I think Luke Ridnour is a very under-rated player, and one of the few pure point guards(along with the above 4, of course) in the NBA.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jan 1 2007, 08:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You're wrong.</div>Not really, just stop and think about it. Before Brevin Knight got hurt these two pretty much shared point guard duties throughout the game. Neither one of them was the pure playmaker of the team, like TJ Ford is for the Raptors. Through that all, they both have averaged 7.4(Raymond Felton) and 7.3(Brevin Knight) assists per game.Furthermore, just look at how Felton has started doing once he has taken over the primary point guard duties for the team all by himself. He is averaging like 11 assists per game as the primary ball handler, including games where he has went off for 19, 15, 12, and 16 assists. He was awesome at North Carolina, and he is showing here with Brevin Knight out, that he can be a great passer.
