We already know who's good 3-point shooters.
Am I the only one that couldn't give a sh*t about the three-point event? Maybe it's just my hatred of the threepoint shot.
Arenas got snubbed last year. :thumbdn1: I want to see some new guys in the contest this year. I'm tired of the same old people, Ray Allen so far does not deserve a chance in hell to participate in the 3-pt contest. Redd is a good pick. So is Ridnour.

He will still sink a ton of them in the contest because their is no pressure and he has one of the best shooting forms in the game. Guys like Arenas who are not pure shooters always bomb in the contest...while guys like Allen and Stojakovic do well...usually first time guys don't do well...I'd rather have the vet's go at it.

It seems to be the only one which involves the best players (players turning down the rook/soph game & skills contest) while not being up to the judges to rig the outcome (the dunk contest with Chris Anderson & that midget Nate Robinson). :thumbdn1:

Stats from this season tell you that Ray Allen is not a very good 3-point shooter. Stats do not tell you that Ray Allen is one of the best shooters of all-time, he arguably has the purest shot, and he he arguably has the nicest form. I believe Ray Allen is the best shooter in the entire NBA. Stats tell you otherwise. Stats do not tell you that Ray Allen has been hurt this year and he is just now trying to get back into the swing of things.Another case of stats being overrated! Because of stats, Zards said Ray Allen "does not deserve a chance in hell to participate in the 3-pt contest." Now, that is just crazy.

Maybe I'm just tired of seeing Allen in the contest every year, I dont know.. I still think you're underrating stats a bit here. They do tell us SOMETHING about the game, or the player. But when people are comparing players and they just show the stats and say "This player is better, he has better numbers.", thats just ridiculous.
