You ignored my entire reasoning by claiming that Lopez would have lower stats on a team with less offensive power.
    I don't get that.

I wanted Lamb, i thought he was going to be the next Reggie Miller lol.

[asshole mode]And i will never endorse spending a lottery pick on a white american center unless he's a defensive beast.[/asshole mode]

Because, Rolo was not one of our options. It went, LMA, Dame, Batum/Wes. If he was an actual 1-3 option, then I would understand your explaining his drop off.
Rolo probably had his best two years of his career with us. Same with Wes. The team was a team, but split them up and put one of them on this new team and it doesnt really work, except maybe Batum. Rolo was great for us while here, but Plums is better all around IMO.

Guesses from both of out sides ,i suppose.

The Lopez thing doesn't bother me that much and i don't judge Neil for making that decision.

I think some of you forget how bad Rolo was for the second half of last season.

I don't think anyone was happy with his production during the playoffs, and I don't remember anyone wanting to throw 12-13 million per year at him.

I count 0 people wanting to sign him for that much.

And I was a rolo fan because he made his free throws as a center. That ended when everything else in his game did too.

I think Neil just wants to stay as flexible as possible. Get a good draft pick, and take advantage of any trade opportunities that might arise, develop the youngins'. Waiting for a Pippen or Chris Paul type of trade maybe?

You act like he's only played 7 minutes this year. He's played 425 minutes, enough to get a feel for a player.

by that logic we should give up on everyone who doesnt produce in their first 25 games so everyone but dame and CJ can kick rocks?

No one on the team has produced less with the time given. In fact, few players in the league have produced less. I just said he looked like a dud. He's almost played enough minutes this year to fill up 10 straight full games. Maybe you are not capable of evaluating a player in that time, but that's your problem.

I think your right. I know I have. With that said I dont agree with you at all. VOnleh has shown noticable improvement in the following areas:
taking the basket to the hole.
    outside shot
    spacing
    SETTING A PICK!

But what I've noticed the most is how much he has improved his defense and his confidence. The kid is still on training wheels when the league is setting up positions for the race. Give the kid some time. I think he has progressed as much as Leonard has regressed, and there is a guy who has had plenty of time...

Vonleh does so little that people get excited everytime he hits a shot. Dude is scoring under 8 points per 36 minutes. That's Joel Pryzbilla level offense. But Joel was an elite defensive player.

Thats impressive man! In 10 games worth of minutes you were able to extrapolate with certainty the future career of a 20 year old basketball player. Like that is a legit superpower!

It makes me wonder tho... are your talents wasted on watching the NBA? Are there more important problems that you can see the answer to? are there other things that you can foresee or is it just the NBA?...or is it just the blazers?

    Frankly, I'm facinated

Come on dude. Don't act like a moron. I said he looked like a dud. I didn't say "I know with certainty that he will never amount to anything."

maybe it should have been in green but there are better things to be worried about than 15mins out of a 20 year old like maybe the often anemic play of some of our vets. It was always gunna be a process with him and we havent even made it to his first allstar break in portland and you and many others are ready to declare him a dud. He is a child by NBA standards and like all children some are born developed and some develop over time we got the ladder in Vonleh so cool your jets cause we got 2 more years of him at least. And if you watched every summerleague game like I did you saw a very different player so pardon me if I dont shit my pants when he doesnt play well right now, he will eventually.

Do you know how long it took Pryz to even become a role player in this league? I'll wait.

Joel averaged 4 blocks and 10 boards per 36 his rookie year. Even though he was terrible on offense, at least he was a defensive force from the start.

You can shit your pants if you want to. We were talking about Neil's moves, and Vonleh was one of them. So far he looks like a dud to me. If you don't think so, whatever. We all have our own opinions. Jesus.

Playing for 15 minutes of overall game time is not the same thing as playing 36 minutes of overall game time. It's difficult to get into the flow of the game. Trying to extrapolate his numbers based on playing a full game, as opposed to playing essentially one quarter, is ridiculous.
