Would you take on Morris if he came with a young asset?

Like a Len or Booker? You have to think we're one of the teams talking to them for another asset.

Yes. I think he has shown to be better than meyers, which is sad

Absolutely. I not sure Goodwin is enough though. As you said, Len or Booker (which I think they would be very hesitant to do of course).

lol, he threw a towel ...at his coach!

We need him in Portland so he can continue the legacy of Sheed by throwing towels at Meyers Leonard!

Markieff's on a contract for about $8M/yr thru 2018/19. That's a sizable chunk of cash to tie up for 3 more years. I think if we make a deal, we'd keep him on the roster.

Virtually all of his numbers are down significantly this year:
    Career Per: 14.8, 2015-16 Per: 9.2
    Career FG%: 44.4%, 2015-16 FG%: 37.9%

I'd do a trade only if we could pick up a young asset like Booker or Len and perhaps a draft pick. I doubt they go for that though.

The 3 years is much more of a big deal then the 8 MIL a year. 8 MIL a year is contracts people like Meyers Leonard (even when sucking) are going to get this off-season.

Only if we get a great asset, not a middling asset. I don't like the length of his contract, but really it's only two years because Morris himself will become a trade asset in the last year of his contract.

    Leonard and a future 1st (2021?) for Morris and a unrotected 1st.

Buyout Morris (for $15M or so), and use the cap space from this year to swallow that number so we don't have it on the books after this year. Or keep him if ya want.

I'd rather trade Aminu for him if we have to send someone out. Leonard still has potential - even if he never achieves it, it's more than could be said for Aminu.

If we can get their pick unprotected than let's do it for anyone but CJ/Dame. If not, I'd love to get an unprotected right to swap. If not, a top 3 or 5 protection will do. I'd love to get their pick for essentially cap space and Meyers.

If we could get their pick, that would be a pretty attractive asset. Right now they are #7. That is Jamal Murray, Henry Ellenson, Jakob Poeltl range and that would be a nice 2nd pick. Think of the year we could have got Dame/Drummond.

I doubt they give it up Top-3 unprotected but if we give up something to them in return, might get it Top-3 protected which could be a very solid if not great pick.

They would be idiots to give up their pick. I don't see that as an option just to dump a player. They will find a trade partner who will take him for nothing.

I think it will take Meyers and a future pick plus taking Morris but it'd be worth it.

Id try to do something where we get their pick if it's 4 or lower. If it's top 3, then we have the right to swap. I'd give us a little extra chance at Simmons

Bledsoe can be kinda perfect alongside Lillard and his vanilla defense.
I would give the Suns any 5 players they want from our roster for Morris and Bledsoe as long as none of those 5 players are not Dame,CJ,Plumlee or Davis.

Suns didnt even want to sign Bledsoe...freakin idiots...

The sixers will bite on this trade....I don't want or like the guy as a Blazer. No way the Suns give up a pick for him...they could buy him out is they have to

This intrigues me ... if we would buy him out. Not a guy I'm really interested in seeing in a Blazers uniform, but their first round pick in 2016, Booker or Len ... definitely something worth consideration.

I'd overpay to land Devin Booker.

I would go for it for the talent alone. Maybe he's just bitter with PHX for trading his brother. Not the mentality I'd want, but if he'd be down to play 110 for us then for sure.
