I am on board for sending him out of town even though the refs are fucking disgrace tonight. He got his stick broken before they scored. Thanks for the memories, Mark.

I think we are all on board. Not much left to discuss really. Issue is getting him to waive his NTC.

Resigning Staal was the worst move we have made the past 2 or 3 years IMO. It was compounded by the NTC. It was made even worse by dealing for Yandle leaving one as the 3rd pair LD and us unable to resign Yandle.

    Bad stuff.

Glad I've chosen football and going out rather than watching this team this year. They suck aside from that run in the beginning of the season

This is just a one line team with zero leadership. Stepan, Kreider, and Hayes are all f'n wastes. Im all for saying that their dman have sucked but their team D has been atrocious. No grit ffrom forwards, no one finishing checks, no one staying with their backcheck. This has been snowballing and just shows no leadership.

I agree with you JD. The D has been shaky, especially Staal, but these forwards are a joke on both ends of the ice.

One might argue that resigning Girardi was worse. Playing a lot of minutes is not impressive when you're really not a good defender.

I think Girardi is better than Staal. He plays against better players. His cap hit is a little less. And his contract is done a year prior to Staal's. On top of that Yandle is a LD like Staal, and no shot we can keep both, so having Staal means we cannot resign Yandle.

Of course if someone believes the G deal was worse than the Staal deal...all good. Maybe personal preference.

I thought that originally too and he's not far behind, but Staal's play has just been atrocious.
