Exactly what I was going to mention. CJ would thrive in a Phil Jackson offense, with a tall PG to bring the ball up the floor then hand it off to him to run the sets. Switch on D as necessary.
With his ability to finish at the rim and his elite ability to create space for himself I think he could be a great PG in the right system. We only see him at PG in spurts. He doesn't get the time to really gel into that role. This is why I think Neil is probably getting A LOT of calls on his availability.
