Nba live 16 is on sale until January 5th on the ps store. Only $16! I'm getting it as I've been too busy to play games lately and haven't gotten a nba game. And tbh, I prefer live to 2k the past couple years
Just prefer the controls and gameplay. I feel like 2k is too much like a simulation that it takes away from playing the game. I used to like 2k, and like the modes better on 2k, but when it comes to playing online against others (the one thing I enjoy doing most when playing madden or nba games), I'll take the game I actually enjoy playing over the better simulation, franchise mode, create a player game. I'm not as impressed with graphics as others either. 2k has better graphics for sure. But when I buy 2k it sits there, when I buy live I actually enjoy playing
For me its because I grew up playing live. NBA live has had some really on point sound tracks too. Live has been around a lot longer than 2k, and it used to be the other way around with NBA Live getting all of the press. I've gotta say NBA Live 2000 has got to be the best of the live games because it has the biggest nostalgia factor for me. I just loaded it up and totally forgot about some of these songs. Of course I remember the hits like Naughty by Nature's Hip-Hop Hooray, but when I heard some of the other songs it was a total flash back. Check who's on the cover in 2000, and still in the league doing things. I looked up Timmy's NBA history and this was his 4th season, 1st season after winning Finals MVP (Spurs beat the Knicks 4-1, Duncan averaged 23 pts 11 reb and 2 blk per game), 2nd season as an All-Star, he had beenand two years before his first MVP... And that's just the tip of the iceberg for Duncan, what a legacy. Spoiler: Spoiler for loading purposes Also you know its gonna be legit when the soundtrack features Rahzel. Spoiler: Spoiler for loading purposes
I bought NBA Live 15 (Any Blazer fan and NBA game fan should own that game) and loved it. Haven't played 15 because I haven't been playing Xbox recently, but looking at the reviews they seem comparable to NBA live 15. I'd give live 15 a 10/10 just because of Lillard mode. Who knows when the next time we will see a Blazer featured in a game with their own voice overs like that. Did anyone here play Live 15?
I actually went back and forth between shootout, live and 2k. Played the 2ks on dreamcast, shootouts on ps1, and live on ps2. Never really had loyalty. I just do not like playing 2k anymore. It's not fun to me. And the 2k fanboys are unbearable
There's no better basketball game than the 2k. Hands down. The post game alone sums it up for me. Playing out of the post in live absolutely sucks.
I cant stand playing those games online. People only choose band wagon teams. I bet everyone plays as the warrior this year. Yawn
I can't play well with the warriors. They have no bigs. Personally the rockets with Howard and harden would be more my playing style. I love having a big that is tough, can block shots and can dunk over anyone.
I think people are wussy when they dont play as their team. I know there are more than cavs/warriors/okc/spurs fans out there. A few years ago you saw nothing but the heat.
Playing online is so Damn annoying. You kick someone's ass online and they disconnect so it doesn't count. Like the gameplay though
I play as the blazers I'm dynasty mode. Not online. If I'm playing online I like playing as the rockets. They fit my playing mode the best. I used to dominate. Nba live 14 I was like 110-7 playing online. I'm ok nowadays, just don't have enough time to commit to getting really good. What about you?
I loved it on live 14, when I would be beating someone by 30-50 points, and they would start saying stuff like "man this guys not even very good" or "you're the reason everyone hates playing online" Too many salty players that suck. If it's within the rules. Cool. I just hate when people quit when they are losing and it doesnt give them a loss
Pretty much Blazers only online and offline. Definitely some 3 point cheese, but I do run plays and what not too. I'm not bad but definitely not 110-7...damn that's impressive.
Man some of the black people I've played against have gone nuts. It's funny to hear how crazy into it people get. I always had a lot of fun playing against the guys with mics who would be flipping out. I distinctly remember one guy calling dame "baby Westbrook" over and over, and freaking out about Meyers hitting 3's, he was like "cmon who is this white boy" "get outta here maaaaaan".
