Hypothetical: What is the most you would give up for Cousins?

I think him being the first option would really open up Lillard and have him take better shots. I'd think both CJ and Lillard's FG% would go up as would their shot selection.

Bigmen who attract double teams are making the game easier for perimeter players.
    That's the basic truth.

I admit Cousins is a very good passer for a big man. Better than LMA. So maybe you are right. But I am enjoying the offense this year much more than the last few. I would hate going back to throwing it inside first and waiting for it to come back out. I like watching Lillard and CJ in more of an attack mode. If they had someone like Cousins to dump it off to it would be even better. But I want the guards to create the offense, not the other way around. But we do need to have both options, so I can see how we would be better off.

This situation is a carbon copy of the end of Sheed's stay here.

Put DMC in a situation where he doesn't have to be the leader and you'll see a different player/attitude.

He obviously can't handle that and loses his composure over ticky-tacky shit.

That's one reason why I think he'd fit in great with Lillard.

Cousins is definitely a hot head, but unlike some idiots, like an early Artest, or like JR Smith maybe, I think Cousins' temper comes from a good place. I think he's ultra competitive and hates to lose. Like the time he pulled Isiah Thomas away from shaking Clippers' hands after a game. I love shit like that. Screw you. I don't like you. I don't want to be buddy buddy with you. I doubt he's had a lot of respect for most of his teammates, rightfully so. He's played with a whole lot of shit his entire career. I think he'd respect Dame as a leader and we'd get the best out of him, instead of him getting to play star on a shitty franchise.

However, again, I don't see it happening, but I'd love it to. I think we'll try at the draft, if not before the deadline. Offer up our pick(after selected) as well as whatever else to see if we can land him. I don't think Neil is envisioning a long term rebuild where we acquire a ton of draft picks and young players.

Just not sure if I'd do a DMC trade. I don't see us with enough talent to win a playoff round and also give Sacramento the assets they require. Maybe we build a package with CJ, or a package with basically everyone else except CJ and Dame; but then we'd have very little talent on the rest of the roster. We need more starters to build a team that will keep DMC here when he is eligible to resign in two years. I don't want to lose talent in a trade then have that player bolt as LaMarcus did.

I agree he would do well with a fresh start but I don't know if he is an ideal big man to complement the style of play we see from CJ and Dame. Our guards play better with garbage bucket bigs that role to the hoop and allow them to run the offense. Who knows maybe a DMC team with Dame and CJ would be great but there is that unknown risk the offense won't be much better than now.

So yeah I'd rather see the Blazers work on getting another starting level talent on this team. We need to build the talent base before we look at trading for an allstar who pushes us to contention.

A lot of people are considered a problem maker, and an angry dumbass when they're on the clippers.

The career of our very own Sydney Wicks ended there in arguments with Coach Paul Silas.

Yep. Kaman said that Stotts is the only coach he has played for that he hasn't wanted to punch.

Hell no. DMC is at most a very slight upgrade from McCollum, while being a bigger downgrade in the locker room. Bellinelli is overpaid, and even worse than CJ defensively (isnt that the problem yall are tryna fix?). Casspi is trash.

And then on top of it were giving up Vonleh and Plumlee? Thats an awful idea.
