Don't know if any of you guys are interested but there's a few good ones on today. I know Rob will be watching Bama tonight.
Oh Yeah, Roll Tide Roll, been eating up all these bowl games, since prior to Xmas, this is my time of year no doubt, other than October-Nov. Wait, that makes me a multi-team fan, multi-sport multi-teams, not even counting the NFL or NHL, NBA??? Finally someone woke up and realized the top 4 s/b playing earlier than the end of the 1st week of the new year, .......
I'm watching Northwestern vs. Tennessee and they are beating the crap out of each other lol. Don't know what their problem is.
Odd isn't it, how Clemson ranked #1 is a 7 point underdog as of late last night in Vegas odds, to the #2 ranked team, and Vegas is expecting the point spread in favor of Bama, to rise to 14 points by weeks end.... In the meantime, Bama's D-Coordinator Kirby Smart returns to his Alma Mater, the Uof Georgi Bull-Dawgs..... Alabama boasts the nation's No. 1 rushing defense. Against the run, the defense has been even more impressive, allowing opposing rushers to gain an average of just 2.47 yards per carry while only reaching the end zone six times. The Alabama defense that has held every team they have played at least 50 yards below their season rushing average. The Tide defense has been tough to all season on the ground and in the air, forcing 69 three-and-outs, ending opponents' drives without yielding a first down 41.3 percent of the time. The defense's average of 5.75 three-and-outs per game is second in the nation. Alabama has also forced a combined 23 turnovers through 12 games, which is second in the Southeastern Conference. The Crimson Tide defense has intercepted 15 passes to lead the conference and rank 17th nationally in that category. The defensive unit also been highly effective at returning those picks, notching an NCAA-leading 442 return yards and recording four pick-sixes. The defensive line has also gotten involved in slowing down the opposition's passing game, batting down 16 passes (second nationally) and totaling 41 sacks (3.42 per game) to lead the SEC and rank third in the country.
The NCAA has some stupid rules.....that 20 hour weekly rule after a school semester begins. Since Clemson's semester begins this Wednesday, the team will be limited to the number of hours they can practice and prepare for Alabama on January 11th, the Championship Game. Alabama's semester doesn't begin until January 13th......so, they are not restricted. The NCAA should make an exception if credibility means something when it comes to a Championship Game.................but we are talking about the NCAA!
Wow, I was unaware of the unfair advantage, and its indeed bullshit, however in the end its "Roll Tide Roll" .... however don't let me down Dabo Sweeney or Nick Saban, this game s/b a great one, one both Teams deserve to Win.....
You know Saban has a legit NFL team in Alabama. I would wager that 'Bama would beat the Giants hands down.
Saban's Offensive and some Defensive Lines have often amazed me, reminding me of Tom Osborne, with his yearly Offensive Line-Men, Corn fed Husky Huskers, that were approximately 10-25 lbs on the overall average; heavier than any NFL Line. On occasions, smaller faster Defenses could take Osborne's Team's down,..... this should be a helluva game, and tho' I'd love to see Saban take home another Title, Clemson could just as easily.....for how long can Derek Henry be stopped, and will Alabama's D-give Watson a hard time, contain him in the pocket; collapse it not allowing Watson to get outside, and shut down his QB running game, options.... anything can happen, the beauty of this game...
What a great game, either Team could of won this one....in games like this its hard to see either team lose.............NOT...!!! Sweet to see Saban's 100th Win at Bama; was also his 4 National Title for Bama, 100-18, can you say: D-Y-N-A-S-T-Y....or Roll Tide Roll..... What an up and down last 24 hours its been, went to bed to news of Bowie's passing, woke up to it; sad, ......onward to this great NCAA Title game, from the depths of loss, to the heights of gain...joy...!
...and oh, can we please just stop with the lame practice of pouring the Gatorade keg on the winning Coach?
Few Coaches if any seem to enjoy those ridiculous habitual Gatorade baths, .... I'd hate to be in any winning Coaches shoes, and soaked clothes, sticky with Fructose/Sucrose, and sit in a post game long interview, uncomfortably, putting on a jacket to cover the mess, and commence with an hour long National Interview, not cool.....
