Blazinggiants and Denny, I think there is just a bit of talking past each other going on.

There are more systemic issues at play, such as abusive nature of power, the fear of the indigent and patterns laid down from past racism, then just current racism. Its many issues, but racism is most certainly a giant piece of the puzzle. That doesn't even mean that all the police that are involved in these incidents are racist, it just means that racism has built the situation and at least in part keeps this situation going.

If I'm a policeman and I'm fearful of being attacked by someone who doesn't want to go back to jail, and many Blacks in the neighborhood I patrol have been incarcerated due to prior systemic racism like biased drug laws, societal educational structures or lack of job opportunities, then I might be more fearful of Blacks not because of the color of their skin, but because of the systemic racist world that they come out of. The Cop then acts in a racist way not because he thinks Blacks are inferior or bad, but because he has to operate in the society that racism built. It's past fuckups leading to current fuckups. Time to realize there is a cancer, and cure it in society. But chemo is a bitch and our society is going to feel sick and beaten down going through the pains of the cure.

We need to acknowledge our background, past and the racism that still exists because of that history in order to build a way out of that mentality. We need to implement all sorts of current dynamics to protect the continued ripples of racism from persisting. Make our authorities fully accountable for their actions and make the public ready to work on the infrastructure, the educational facilities, the job opportunities, the healthcare, the ......etc. It might not ever happen, it's a gigantic goal. But if it doesn't, then we will stay mired in the muck of our past wrongdoings.

Wow.... the notions that some of you subscribe to are just amazing to me. Don't become a police officer if you cannot conquer fear with reason. You must be wrong for the job. Just like officer Ron Frashour. He was afraid. A scared little bitch for no reason when unarmed Aaron Campbell was running away from him, he shot him in the back because he said he was afraid that he was reaching for a gun. If your scared go to church...

This is just a weird comment and I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. Yes black people are killed for playing their music too loud. Do you think that's okay?

Read it again. How many times do I have to say they're scared and often racist?

The point I'm making about not understanding why anyone would want to be a cop is that these people have families and they feel like their only goal is to make it home alive after each shift. This creates incentive for them to shoot a guy holding a cell phone behind his back.

Nowhere did I say I think that's ok. My point is that the cops are trained to kill and then sent out in fear.

I've said it a thousand times. Almost nobody who wants to be a cop should be allowed to.

I'm getting these deaths confused. If a guy is shot in the back I don't buy the fear argument in his defense. Sorry.

No, it's not ok. But if black people are killed for wiping their ass and washing their hands you're not changing the laws without me opposing it.

This is actually a common thing, people always want to change rules because one person or group takes advantage.

What pains me is that some of you in here prove that you really just don't give a shit. You really truly don't care. You won't even consider the changes that BLM wants to make. They would help us all not just black people. But I bet someone like Mario I wouldn't even read them because he already subscribed to a notion that what they're saying is bullshit before considering what they're saying.

Most of us in here do not trust the government or the media. However when it comes to this specific subject, you trust the government says as well as get most of your information from the media and use it as truth. The only word I can come up with that is amazing. I'm amazed by the fact that when it comes to black people's complaints about police treatment you will retreat to your corner and trust the entities that you vehemently distrust. Amazing...

Loud music might be a reason to be stopped and told to turn it down. It is not a reason to be frisked. It also not a reason to be shot. There is no probable cause to be searched because your music is too loud. Do you understand what you're talking about? Because I'm not sure that you do...

I've seen the videos of the BLM movement. They instigate, agitate, and spit hateful messages in their chants. They often are aggressive to passive people that are nearby that are being disrupted.

Why would anyone in their right mind give two shits about their message? I can get behind police reform etc, but your right DVISS , I don't give two shits about the BLM movement due to what I see when they protest and that is sad because I actually do care about fixing the system.

This thread is bullshit. Just post after post of pointless arguing.

It's 2016, some of you need to grow the fuck up. Evolve, mature, try to show compassion for others.
