So before the season started, I heard alot of talks about Rondo becoming the steal of the draft..and I thought he was going to live up to it for you guys.So I have some questionso you wish Ainge choose Marcus Williams instead of this guy? What really happened to Rondo, why did all of a sudden his game go down all of a sudden?Shouldn't he get playing time since there were so many injuries?
Want to know what happened to Rajon Rondo? Doc Rivers happened to Rajon Rondo. Rondo has clearly played well enough to earn at least some consistent minutes, yet Doc refuses to play him on a consistent basis. It's puzzling as to why he doesn't play more, but we can only speculate.

Rondo can't shoot like dogma said, so Doc does not play him.Theres also this thing called playing time, if you don't play, you don't accumulate stats, therefore when you look at stats you'll think he just sucks. BECAUSE HE PLAYS ABOUT 5 MINUTES A GAME!Simple solution to Rondo's downfall in statistics, fire Doc.
Rondo's game didn't "get worse" if that's what you are saying. But the whole PG situation is up and down. They are all inconsistent. Delonte has been hurt on and off, and he has been shooting poorly. Sebastian hasn't been aggressive offensively like he was in October-November, so he's not playing as much or quite as well. Doc Rivers happened to Rajon Rondo... honestly. He took him out of the regular rotation because he can't shoot, seriously. Give me a break! He's our best defensive point guard, he's the most controlled, he pushes the ball more than Delonte and Bassy combined, he always makes hustle plays, he gets everyone involved, and he's an outstanding rebounder for a 6'1'' skinny kid. He simply makes things happen. I mean, even the other night was a prime example: Rondo played 28 minutes on Sunday in Seattle. I'm not a huge stat guy, but he did it all: 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals on 6-9 shooting. He pressured defensively and did a great job. What does Doc do the next day, when we have a game in Portland? He lets Delonte West play, who had back spasms during the game on Sunday, 31 minutes and only plays Rondo 12. We NEED to deal one of our 3 point guards in order for one or two of them to be successful. Rondo's talent and abilities are being wasted on the bench. This is Marcus Banks all over again, except Rondo is more talented than Banks ever was.
Rondo should be getting a lot more minutes than Telfair is. If I were Danny I would be looking to trade Telfair, he's not worth it, he's an overyhyped bust in my mind. I think he'll be a decent backup point guard at best in this league. Rondo should be getting more minutes, he will be the point guard of the future, not Telfair.
