They are both the same height and about the same weight and they both do whatever it takes to try and get their team the win. While Gerald Wallace is more explosive and better defensively, Morris Peterson is better from the perimeter and can pick and pop from almost anywhere. I might take Gerald Wallace only because he is younger and is the better defender but I wouldn't mind having a guy like Peterson on my team either. Who do you think the better player is and who would you rather have on your team?
Mo is obviously the better offensive player. He has an excellent jumpshot, whereas Gerald has NO jumpshot. Mo can also get to the rim pretty well. I wish he did that more often...Gerald mainly relies on his athleticism and quickness to get inside baskets, but he really needs to work on his jumpshot.Mo is a decent defender, but Wallace is the clear cut favourite in that department. Wallace is also great at getting boards, steals, and blocks..It's kind of hard to say. Both very different players.
Gerald Wallace without a doubt. Only thing Mo Pete has on him is a better jump shot. Gerald is more athletic, he's better at getting to the hole, and of course he's a much, much better defender. Wallace is a pretty poor shooter, but there's no way that's reason enough to give Peterson the edge here.
Wallace any day of the week. You can find many shooters, but guys who are explosive and will play defense at the NBA level are tough to come by.

They're both different players and excel in different areas so its hard to say who is better, but I'd take Wallace solely based on this fact. It's not like he's a terrible scorer either, he is very godo at getting to the rim. Mo is obviously a better offensive player, but if I had to have one, I'd take Wallace because offensive help is A LOT easier to find than defensive help.
Who would I take out of the two, it really depends on what team I am picking for. If I was picking for the Magic, I would take Morris Peterson for the team. We already have people that play defense and attack the rim like Trevor Ariza and Keith Bogans. We have a good defensive team, and a team full of attackers. We are really lacking in the shooting category, and Morris Peterson would help to improve our shooting. So if I was taking for the Magic I would rather have Morris Peterson. If I was starting a brand new team and had to pick one or the other, I would pick Gerald Wallace any day of the week. He is a better attacker, a better defensive player, can rebound better, gets to the free throw line more often because of his attacking style, and just seems better for a team than Peterson does. Like has been said, you can find another shooter some where else to compliment Gerald Wallace. I would much rather have Wallace to start a brand new team.
On defense Gerald Wallace is 1000 times better than Mo Pete, and on offense I think it's pretty close. Wallace exploded for 40 points the other night so we now know he has the ability to take over a game, but he doesn't have the dimensions on offense Peterson has. If he developed a consistent jumper even from mid-range it would make him even better. I'm a huge Gerald Wallace fan and I'm shocked he wasn't on the all-defensive team last year after leading the league in steals as well as averaging for than 2 blocks a game.So I'd choose Gerald Wallace definitely for my team, unless for some reason they were in desperate need for a shooter.

The only things Morris Peterson has that Gerald Wallace doesn't have is a jumper and more experience.
