<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NBA Comparison: Vince CarterStrengths: An absolutely jaw dropping, electrifying dunker capable of getting air like the greatest dunkers of all time, Jordan, Dominique, Vince Carter, Josh Smith etc. ... His leg strength and explosiveness is off the charts ... His skill level is still catching up, but he has shown tremendous progress over the past year ... Improvements have been seen in shooting, feel for the game, as well as creating offense off the dribble ... Over powers opponents with his body strength, and it will only get better as he's just a 18 year old pup ... Has a killer instinct, with a real nasty side to his personality. Has no problem dominating inferior competition, competes hard ... His upside is incredible, but for now he's a superstar athlete developing into a quality basketball player ...Notes: Was a childhood friend and high school teammate of more heralded prospect OJ Mayo. Declared ineligible for the 06-07 season in Ohio high school basketball opening the door to be in the 2007 NBA draft.</div>^ From NBADraft.net ^He's got incredible atheltiscm, I've only seen videos of him, and he looks like a stud. This year he's averaging 14.5 ppg, 5 rpg, and shooting 45% from the field. He was declared ineligible this year, but then they allowed him to go to KSU Tomorrow he is playing Xavier on ESPN 2, so check it out if you interested in seeing him play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G33_XkeVS8^^ Yes he can jump.
dang I wuz just gonna start a topic on him. He does look really great and will probably be a top 10 pick this year if he is allowed to enter the draft. He could even be top 5.
Did you know Walker and Oj Mayo are like best friends I read in an article one time and supposedly walker is suppose to be better than carter
Ugh...^ Anyway, the guys a rare athlete, has rare spring in his feet. Defense and intangibles are a big key for him. He kind of lived off his athletic ability in HS (which I can't blame him for). A couple of years with Huggins would do wonders for his future. I really like that he's got some fire on the court, a lot of guys don't.
Walker is 3-12 shooting in the 1st half, with 6 points, he also has 4 rebounds. He looks good, great first step, but it looks like the Xavier fans are really getting in his head. They are loud too.
I have never seen Bill Walker play, so I can't judge him personally, but I definitely do hear a lot of good things about him. But, would anybody know what year he's going to come out? NBAdraft.net does not have every freshman star listed on the 2007 mock draft (guys like Chase Budinger and company are listed in the 2008 mock, and not the 07). So, does this mean that Bill Walker is going to come out this year? EDIT: Also, how old is he, exactly? I know he went to Kansas State early, so I doubt he'll be 19 by late June (draft time).
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Also, how old is he, exactly? I know he went to Kansas State early, so I doubt he'll be 19 by late June (draft time).</div>His birthday is 10/9/87 so he is already 19 years old. I found this on nbadraft.net. So he will be elgible age wise.
I agree with the VC comparrisons. But I don't think he will be as much of a scorer and I think he will be a much better defender than VC.This guy should not enter the draft this year. He's not ready yet.
Billy Walker is out for the year: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news;_ylt=Ar...p&type=lgnsTough bid for the kid and K State.
^ Yeah just heard, is he still going to the nba draft ? wonder if he's going to do another year in college.

yeah it would definitely be smart to stay another year. Really tough break for Walker though. At least K State fans can look foward to next year when beasley comes in then they will have walker and beasley.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>On January 6th, Bill Walker suffered a knee injury against Texas A&M and later had an MRI which revealed that he had a ruptured ACL and will be out for 6-8 months. Walker's unfortunate knee injury puts to rest any notion he had of challenging the ruling that he was not eligible, and entering the 2007 draft. The real concern is that this injury could have a lingering effect on his career as the success of his game is so dependant on his athleticism. Walker's athletic ability is in line with some of the game's all time greats Dominique, Josh Smith and Vince Carter. Despite not fully understanding the Kansas State playbook, Walker had been thrust into the starting line up and was putting up solid numbers over his first five ball games (13.2 ppg) with a 19 point outburst in Kansas State's upset win over Southern Cal. But how close to the former Bill Walker he will be when he returns is the big question. Not many of the game's elite athletes have returned from such a bad knee injury and become as explosive as they had before.</div> Man that is bad news...he rushed from HS and now is on the shelf with a terrible injury...ugh.
Dang does not look like he will be entering this draft now. He would be like picked 3rd probably he is being compared to Carter.
