The most messed up part is Doc Rivers laughing at CJ at the end and opening his mouth....guy has no class...
I'll cook up the tar and bag the feathers. Fire Stotts. I'm beyond sick of his shit. Stupid rotations, losing huge leads, playing Hacka-Jordan 30+ times in the 4th last game, and now this. He needs to go.
It's getting harder to find teams I can even stand in the West. Hate the Rockets. Hate the Clippers. The whole LA thing has made me hate the Spurs. I don't like rooting for anyone other than the Blazers to win multiple consecutive championships, but I might be forced to root for the Warriors (presuming the Blazers don't make the playoffs) because I hate them the least.
WOW. Jay Allen just said multiple sources said in a conference call with the NBA, Terry and Glenn Rivers, the NBA gave them the OK to let CJ play if Rivers was okay with it. He said no.
Apparently his rationale was that this happened to him with Danny Granger a few years back and Granger was not allowed to play. So he took it out on CJ now. I hope that fucker gets his just desserts for being such a vindictive asshole. And Terry, for Godsakes, read the damn list.
I've never seen this happen before, and I've watched the NBA since 1971. But for many of those years the team limit was 12, and all could play. There was no BS about selecting 12 of the 15 players. 1) In the early years of the 15-player limit, the 3 players were put on a fake injured list before each game, the Injured Reserve List. But I'm not sure the IRL began in exactly the same year when the 15-player limit began. When did this pre-game ritual begin...was it exactly the same year when the team limit went up to 15? (In the early years, could all 15 play?) 2) Has this ever happened to another team? 3) Why can't all 15 be available, and eliminate the pre-game requirement? Who cares if a coach rarely plays all 15 in a blowout; it won't hurt anyone.
Should never have been put into Rivers' hands. The Clippers are looking at seeding for the playoffs, where they will fail again. This firmly falls on the Blazers. But Rivers still is a jerk.
The Blazers absolutely robbed their 20,000 paying customers tonight. Worse, the only 20,000 people who didn't know why CJ wasn't playing were the ones who paid to watch that garbage game. Not one announcement in arena.
Funny thing is its gonna be the other away around in March...CJs gonna torch the clips and point at rivers after the game and laugh his ass out of the rose garden
