    HEAD COACH TERRY STOTTS

“Well it was pretty obvious Golden State’s a pretty good basketball team. Klay Thompson put on a show in the first quarter. Every time we tried to mount any kind of comeback, they were so potent that a 12 point lead can go to 20 pretty quickly. They showed why they have the record they have – they shot the ball really well, they passed – 36 assists. I think one of the things they do best is their passing and their shooting sets up a lot of their passing obviously, but they’re a good team.”

    On McCollum’s game:

“I thought he had a lot of good shots, I thought he was aggressive, but he didn’t make them. I liked the way he played. The ball just didn’t go down for him tonight.”

Was it demoralizing to see Warriors off to hot start?

“I don’t know if demoralizing is the right word, but certainly, it was frustrating. I think the frustrating part about the start was we were getting good shots, we just couldn’t score. Defensively they were okay, but getting off to a slow offensive start and not having field goal for I don’t know how many minutes and playing through that is tough to do. You get down big against a good team, that’s frustrating as well.”

Is there an adjustment to figuring out how Warriors play?

“Especially when they play small. When they have Draymond Green and Iguodala at 4-5, it’s a brand of basketball you don’t see very much. When you matchup to that size level, usually you’re playing a lineup that you haven’t played very much and figuring out how you’re going to score is a little different. They’re used to playing that lineup and that style and most teams aren’t, so it is an adjustment.”

Can you put in perspective how good Warriors team is?

“Obviously they’re on pace to have the best record ever and I think they likely will get it. They’re dominating the league right now. As far as regular season goes, it’s never been done so far. I mean 34 and 2 – it’s the best 36 game record ever and I don’t see any signs of it letting up. They know how to play, they know their formula for success and they execute it very well.”

Does this performance give you confidence moving forward?

“I mean, I’m a confident basketball player and coming off of injury, I knew that I would get it going eventually. Tonight, I knew that it was going to be a challenge for us defensively and offensively because of who they are. I just felt good. It was a challenge and it’s only right that you come in for that challenge and you embrace, it but like you said, we didn’t get the result that we was looking for.”

Can you describe how talented the Warriors are?

“I don’t even think it’s about how talented they are. I think it’s how well they play together and how much of an understanding they have of what makes them them – the way they move without the ball, the way they share the ball, how they defend – they’re on a string defensively. Offensively, guys know what they bring to the table, they know what the team needs from them and they do it as best they can. I think when you do that, you have a championship team and it’s obviously why they won the championship last year and why they’ve only lost two games this season.”
