<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>KG was very close to being traded to the Bulls. I wasn't told the specifics of this and what players were involved. All I know is only that it involved the Bulls #1, which came from NY. The trade fell through because it looks like that pick isn't going to be a top 5 pick anymore. Minnesota only wants to do it now if the Bull throw in another #1, along with the players involved. Well, the Bulls said no to that... because Jerry West called and offered Pau Gasol for PJ Brown, Sweetney and the NY #1. This trade will most likely go down. Lastly, the Lakers are the front runners for Artest ever since the Clipper deal fell apart. The Kings want Farmar, Mihm, and a throw-in. Phil was all but ready to pull the trigger until Kwame got hurt. I don't know why that would affect anything though. Not suprisngly, the Kings aren't getting many offers for Artest so Phil thinks he'll be available in a month. If this is true, then I would do this trade...ANYDAY.</div>I got this from Clublakers, which is actually a pretty reliable source compared to hoopsworld etc. They actually talk to people. Anyway, I don't really understand why the Kings would want Farmar when they already have Kevin Martin and Bibby but I heard that the Kings are also interested in moving Bibby sometime soon...so I am not really sure.

Oh that would be such a great trade for you guys. I would hate that. We don't need 6 serious contenders in the West, please. Of course, Artest is a little bit of a ball hog and a headcase so you never know how that'll go..

I think that Phil would be able to handle a guy like Artest though..so I wouldn't really be worried about him being a headcase.

I think mentally he's worse than Terrell Owens who didn't turn out too good when he had as tough a coach as there is. It's taking a big risk even if it is the Zen Master. I think he'll turn out okay but we'll see how it goes if he gets there.

I'm not sure I like this for the Lakers. Where does Artest fit in? I guess they would move Odom back to the 4, not sure I like that at all.

But again, I think that the Zen Master would be able to handle him if he was traded to the Lakers but we will see.

The lineup was-PG-Smush ParkerSG-Kobe BryantSF-Luke WaltonPF-Lamar OdomC-Kwame BrownI don't know what I'd think of this deal if it went down. I love Farmar but Artest IMO is just too big an oppurtunity to pass up. Farmar could be the Lakers' point guard of the future, and this would put Smush as a full time starter for as long as he's around. But a tandem of Kobe, Artest, and Odom could legitimitely contend for a title. Throw in a more developed Bynum and a better Kwame Brown (hopefully) and you have a championship team put together. It would be a big risk but I'd pull the trigger if I was Kupchack and given the oppurtunity.

I just don't think it works. I just don't see how Artest would fit in. Odom and Kobe are a nice duo and seem to have built some chemistry. Artest is not a chemistry guy. I think Farmar is a nice fit for the Lakers. Besides that I don't see this going down anyways.

Does this even work with the salaries? If so, damn, Mihm is overpaid.

But Chris Mihm is making a little over 4 mill so he's not that overpaid.EDIT: Artest makes a little over 7 mill this year so salaries could work.

Do it in a heartbeat. Mihm and Farmar are garbage. Send that f*cking elf-thing to SAC town, so we can beat you when you're better.

Of course we would do it in a heartbeat...but I wouldn't call Mihm or Farmar garbage. Especially Farmar.Rookie Efficiency Per 48 Minutes27.73 - Paul Millsap 26.23 - Craig Smith 22.25 - LaMarcus Aldridge 19.88 - Shelden Williams <u>19.43 - Jordan Farmar </u>19.38 - Jorge Garbajosa 18.47 - Andrea Bargnani 16.79 - Marcus Williams 15.84 - Rudy Gay 10.99 - Yakhouba Diawara 10.98 - Adam MorrisonMihm is not a bad player either but he always seems to get in foul trouble wheather he actually commits a foul or not. [IMG] Sometimes he is just in the neighborhood and they will call a foul on him.

Looking at Craig Smith's stats he's been pretty solid also. Farmar hasn't done much though....

Farmar hasn't played much recently but when he does play he does well. I still don't understand Phil's mind games and rotations but I guess he knows what he is doing. Farmar was definetly a steal at the 26th pick.

I like this trade, and it looks good on paper, but I don't know how Artest would fit in, and also, I quite like Farmar and he shows some real promise.

Too bad there's no Kings fan to bash this trade. All they get is Farmar really, seeing as Mihm is out for the year. That's a rape, they'll better off keeping a disgruntled Artest.
