We are the generation programmed to say "Why Not"...

"Where we're going, we don't need no roads"...
always loved the Back 2 t/Future Movies/storyline(s), so did my kids, but then who didn't...?

    Recall=
The Silver Bullet seen in the 1983 James Bond Film "Octopussy", is a Bede/Rutan POS from Mojave. The very same place John Delorean was busted with a Personal Jet full of Cocaine, where....? As John stepped out of His Hangar at Mojave's Airport, never made it to his Time Machine waiting.....Ironic........?

There are quit a few companies building flying cars. You Tube has a flurry of video detailing as much. However sporty a vehicle, with many requiring runways, others saying they don't, yet cannot get airborne without space besides speed, for propellers, to heli-blades.

The Air Fan Drone bikes and Cars are going to perhaps have more success than the Terrafugia, AirMobil, Poval, and many others, are descendants of the work of two morons, (Wiki-Jim Bede) and his dog spot, I mean Burt Rutan. Terrafugia states the vehicle shown in the OP, "doesn't require FAA certification", which is False. The FAA is doing their damnedest to have all drones licensed, let alone flying cars.

If you Wiki="Jim Bede", you'll see/read, the creation story of the flying car, one of the most deadly poorly thought out, flying coffins. Problematic in every imaginable aspect of flight and engineering, or the lack thereof....

After the Silver Bullet 'worlds smallest flying jet', came the Bud Light, and Red Bull Flying Bulls Air Show Pilots. Many of those have crashed, burned and killed many a pilot. Yet the USAF has a program using these, ....in a less deadly fashion; ie un-manned drone surrogates....

Some of these vehicles, are dirt cheap in costs, by air vehicle standards, and not much more than a cheap car would cost. Companies have often put a lot of money into design, creation, to flight of prototypes, only to go belly up.

One day, one day......Doc, Marty and Jennifer will return.....!!!

First off...power lines? The day of the telegraph is over, many places have long since buried overhead wires. Second we have cars that actively avoid collections and parallel park....collision avoidance radar will be used in flying cars. Third...we have self driving technology advancing rapidly....the days of your car driving you home from the bar are almost here.

And to that I say, thank god. Fucking MADD has ruined this world. This world is too cocooned in self absorption....people need to get out often and get hammered with friends.

Next thing you know you'll have internet servers in the bathroom closets.
