Per my E-mail from Steinbrenner Field Yankees Spring Training Tickets go on sale at 10 AM this coming Friday. Mickey Rivers & Bucky Dent will be on hand by the Field Box area where the tickets will be sold. The E-mail pimped the fans to come out and watch the '16 Yankees no mention of trying to get # 28. What does that tell you. It also pimped sunshine, crowds and baseball only to further mention that the luxury Boxes with AC were "the only way to see a game. Looks Last season I noticed a lot of empty seats over at Steinbrenner, could be worse this year. I sure wish new owners who cared would purchase the franchise with the intent of putting it back as king of the hill, top of the heap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game seating charts are posted but 2016 ticket price information for individual areas are not. Those will probably be posted on Friday. Right now they are running a countdown for early availability. Ticket office phone number is 1-813-370-2244.

WOW. Bad enough Yankee Stadium in the ol' Bronx

happening in ST. They sure know how to embrace their
    fans!

Even if the team remained as "the" contender those ST tickets are a bit much. I used to think about going up to Yankee Stadium but seeing the prices there, shit the game tickets would cost more than the round trip from Florida. I won't even pay to watch Yes network, not contributing to the Steins Revenues or Cashmans futile attempts at putting a team that excels on game day.

I just checked Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. Same seats only 30.00 per seat. I'm going in March when the Orioles play the Yankees. lol

...so I'm assuming you've never been to NYC or either of the Yankee Stadiums?

Not True, my first ball game I can remember was at Shibe Park in Philly, Griffiths in Washington DC. ditto Fenway Park. Mad e the Stadium in the early and late Sixties. After returning from Germany I mad plenty of trips to the Stadium from 77 through 81 when I returned to Kores. During that time I used to get tickets early in the season and from Carlisle Pa and Frederick Md I could make Philly, New York, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Had tickets to see the Dodgers and Pirates in '81 Valenzuela pitching but the 81 strike began. Made Aneheim and Chavez Ravine as well. The last game I went to in person was games two and three of the Toronto Series in '85. When on active duty I went into the NE Baseball towns on a regular basis. Even caught a couple of games at Shea. If I were to go up to the current Stadium I'd want to train up to Jersey, rent a car and drive into the ballpark. Hotels in NYC aren't cheap, better to get a room about 50-60 mile away. At todays prices for transport, rooms, concessions and the like it's a pretty expensive venture I'd say.

...ahhh, I gotcha...I thought when you said you had "thought about going up to YS", it meant you had never been.

...loved both of my trips there...still have not been to the new YS yet...last trip was in '07...gotta get back.

I was pissed that they didn't raze the old stadium and rebuild around the original field where all the greats played. They certainly christened the "new" stadium in the correct manner with a championship win but stuff has gotten completely out of hand when crap teams come in there and sweep the Yankees at home. Form the photos and televised games I've seen it's still the Cathederal of Baseball, but the team needs to getup to snuff. Saw a guy wearing Yankee Gear at the store and I said fire Brian Cashman. The guy looked at me like I was an alien as he answered that he thought Cashman was OK. Not much conversation from that point.

...I felt the exact same way. The old ground was hallowed ground and they should have found a way to rebuild on the same site where the dirt and grass held the history of the franchise and where the "ghosts" resided.
... And though I have not been to the new place, I've been told that it "has no soul"...and "it's not as loud".
...and anyone who thinks Cashman is "OK" is either a casual fan or they have not been paying attention or they're a blind homer.

Exactly what I was hoping for....also...~!~

Hallowed Grounds of the Yanx - Baseball's God's, should never be fkd with, other than to mow the grass....

At one time I wanted my ashes buried under home plate, (not sure how anyone could do as much), glad I didn't have it done,...I'd be resting under pavement...
