The Suns will give him for any player we will offer.

Bulls also have their own pick in the low 20s this season.

Lowe in his podcast today with Howard Beck floated the idea of Lopez for Meyers straight up, among a few other options. Says we aren't gonna add any picks.

Says POR was interested in Lopez pre-Olshey. We're not that far away from the playoffs, why not make a move to get there?

I don't hate the idea of Lopez, but I don't really like it either. Either way, it's something I'd much rather look at in the off-season.

So the Blazers old front office was interested in adding Lopez to a team that isn't here anymore, therefore we might be interested in him again even though all variables have changed?

I initially wasn't too excited when I heard the potential interest in obtaining Brook Lopez, but after watching the Blazers play this year, I think he might be just what the Blazers need.

As it stands now, the Blazers are a guard dominant scoring team. Dame (24.8), CJ (20.9), and Crabbe (11.2) are the teams top 3 scorers. Our 3 top rebounders, Plumlee (8.0), Davis (7.2), and Aminu (6.7), are all not good at scoring in the post. The other teams are able to trap and double team our guards, and not have to worry about any of our bigs doing any serious damage on the offensive end.

Brook Lopez has a 20.8 PER this year (career 20.9), averaging 19.7 point, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. The majority of his shots (60.4%) come from within 10 feet. He has a TS% of 53.7%. Having a scoring threat with his skills would significantly help balance the offensive load. And he's only 27 years old. The only concern I would have is his health. Out of his first 7 years in the league, he's been significantly injured during 2 of those years. He played 72 games last year.

He's signed this year for $19,689,000, then $21,165,675, and $22,642,350. With the salary cap going up, I don't think those are out of line amounts.

I think Brook Lopez would be a great pickup. The question is - what would we give up to get him? I'd give up anyone outside of Dame and CJ.

Gimme both Brook and Thad. Our backcourt plus the Nets' frontcourt is a contender.

Jerami Grant and Walter Tavares are two not-so-known assests I'd try to poach.

Boston only saves about 4 million in actual savings by dealing Lee. Can't see them giving up a first rounder for 4 million dollars. A second at most.
