Well, lets see if they can surprise us and avoid the typical OT/SO loss.

It is still about the O. We don't score. We score 1 or 2 goals a game as the games get bigger and tighter. That's it. The PK is awful...the D overall has played well recently and we don't score. Not that complicated to me as we roll crap out there upfront.

Let's see if we can score the OT winner and feel better for a little bit until we get whipped at the Caps tomorrow evening.

YOU NEED TO SCORE GOALS. We have 2 or 1 every game. The D is not the issue...we allow 2 we should win. The PK sucks, but the D has played well recently.

We don't score. Maybe we'll score in gimmick OT.

Yup, they play like they're going to win every game 1-0 or 2-1.

Game after game we have sucked lately on the PK and that's because we just aren't good in the defensive zone. Too many mental lapses where we consistently leave guys WIDE open in front of Hank. This has to stop.

Zuc and Brass the gretzky brothers, always trying to score pretty goals.

WE DON'T SCORE 94. My lord bro. I respect you man, but you are missing it. We score 1 or 2 goals a game as the games get bigger and tighter and you keep talking about the D. Come on man. We have an 8.5 mill goalie...he can earn that money. I want us to play to score more even if it means Hank needs to be great, that is why he is by far the highest paid goalie in the NHL.

Let's see if we can win the SO.

And Brass never even looked to shoot...that was a pass to Zucc 100000000000000%...and that is the issue folks.

But you also need to be able to break the opposition's forecheck pressure which this team CANNOT do. Think chuck. We spend a heck of a lot of time in our defensive zone because we cannot clear the puck. Then, when we do, our players are tired so the offense suffers from that. It's really not that difficult to understand. We suck offensively, but we aren't great defensively either because we simply suck at clearing our defensive zone. When we were at our best, we could handle the fore check pressure of other teams and clear the zone and break out. We can't do that anymore. We get pinned in our zone for minutes at a time sometimes. That's exhausting for our skill players. Don't just look at shots against. Watch the games. Watch when it's a physical team. We played scared and our players tuck their tails and are afraid to play the puck because of getting hit and we turn it over in our zone and can't get out. To me it all stems from that. From there, we suck offensively because we overpass and can't hit a fucking wide open net.

Hank, this year, surely isn't playing like an 8.5M goalie. Outside of his great start he's been prett average. Not his fault, as our DEFENSE has left him out to dry.

It's the D 94. We don't score goals, and the D has played well the past 8 games or so, but it is the D. Not worth the back and forth. You are right.

Anyway, at least we won the SO. We need to find a way to score some more goals (or play better D and hold the other team to -2 goals so we can win).

I would expect us to get killed in DC, but at least we got 2 points today. That f'ing Isles game was the killer. The fact that we only scored 1 goal against a team missing 2 of their top 3 dmen is mind blowing, but is what it is. If only the D played better today when we allowed 2 goals, or against Boston when we allowed 1 goal, or against the Isles when we allowed 2 goals...darn.

    I digress though. Onto DC.
