Outstanding season. He has verbal interest in Kansas State and turned down offers to UConn, Charolette, Georgetown, Louisville, Syracuse and USC.He is the #4 rated player in the country and the #1 rated power forward in the country. You guys think he has college/NBA talent?
I saw this kid play in person. He is the quickest 6'9 guy I've ever seen in my life. His moves are refined, he can shoot inside/outside, he's very strong, and very physical. He knows when to take control of games, and he CAN do it. He showed much improved court vision in this tournament because him, Eric Gordon, and Nolan Smith were just raping. Great jump shot, and he can jump out of the gym. I loved watching the kid play, he was throwing down big-time dunks left and right before the game, and at half time. He's a STUD.
He is amazing to watch. I say a highlight of him dropping 50 in a high school all star game and he made it look like he was playing a JV team. btw he is #1 in 2007 @ rivals.com. On rivals they have Bill Walker at #6 (he was supposed to start college next year) and nbadraft.net has him going 6th in this year's draft. If he is better than bill he will be a great NBA player indeed.
He's no doubt, the best player in HS basketball right now. He's obviously comparable to Carmelo Anthony but I think Beasley is a better athlete with more spring in his step. Is very quick, great athlete, good rebounder, likes to play in the post. Some people say he doesn't have that killer instinct but I don't usually judge that until a player goes to college.
I saw him live when he came to San Antonio for the junior olympics. This guy is an amazing talent, and a great player to watch. He is VERY VERY VERY physical under the boards and on the defensive end which I love. He can play on the perimeter or play in the post (which is he is better at). He can absoltuley jump out of the gym. He has one of the highest verticles that I have seen out of high school in a long time. He is close to Gerald Green IMO.
when I said his ranking iw as goin off scout.comI dont follow HS bball much anymore..I just know hes from MA and he's a tank
