I don't think Crabbe has started with Dame, has he? I'm not sure how I would quantify the stats because that's something that they used to do on 82games.com

Very rarely. Better stated, 'how each plays together versus the other'.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. When Dame/Crabbe are on the floor together, versus when CJ/Crabbe are on the floor together. I'm not sure how we would pull those stats. The only sample that I can easily pull is when CJ/Crabbe started together.

No matter how you look at it, they are still a top backcourt in today's NBA in terms of scoring the ball.

I'm not sure they have to be our future backcourt, but i think you can at least try to make it work if you can put good defensive C-PF-SF tandem around them. You can't start Meyers or any other weak defensive player with CJ and Dame on the floor.

Remember when OKC was just starting with Durant and Westbrook and some people were pushing for the Thunder to make a Russel\Rondo trade so their team will be more balanced? how ridicules does that sound now?

I heard CJ saying that you can't judge his play with Lillard just yet, simply because there isn't enough body of work to judge yet and i tend to agree with him.

We can look for pictures all day.

Top of CJ's shoulder is at Dame's chin in the above picture.

As stated by BBert, don't even look at were their heads stand. See how higher CJ's shoulders are off the ground than Dame's in the photos.

While Dame was out, CJ averaged 26 ppg, 60-136 (44%), 16-40 (40%) from three, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1 steal at the starting point guard spot

But over the last five games (he has played six games since Dame returned) he is averaging 16 ppg, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and he's shooting 33% from the field and 31% from three.

What if CJ should be playing point guard? It really seems like Dame and CJ are eerily similar players, and having both could be holding back one or both.

It's just the beginning of the road for these two together and maybe Stotts is not the right guy to make it work.
I'm not going to judge this whole thing as long as we don't have any meaningful inside presence on offense.

Sometimes Wade looked like ass alongside Lebron and god knows we've seen Kobe chuck his way into 30% evenings, i agree with all of the above , but it's still way to early to throw away a potential top 3 backcourt.

Also a shot of CJ standing on Harden's head, but looking at pictures on my day off works for me..notice the towel draped on CJs shoulders covering up his shoulder pads

Again, what makes you think other teams that are rebuilding (or will be in the rebuilding mode) want Rudy Gay when we just say HELL NO?

Yeah but did you really expect CJ to keep that pace? He stepped it up when Dame was out. You see this all the time with other teams when their stars go down. Players step it up.....for a short time. Then it catches up with them. We see this with Dame as well when he carries us for a while. but then tires. Mentally ad physically it is tough for one player to sustain. We need two so our season does not end when our pG goes down for a couple of months.

Sure I would take a young star for CJ. But it's going to get old talking about a CJ for X ....every time we see a good young player. And you know that is going to happen until we add more pieces around these two guys so we know for sure. But for now I am happy to see if it can work. It is way to early to give up on it.

Not to suggest that what I'm about to say is the prescription, but I'd throw away a "top 3 backcourt" if it got me to a "top 3 team."

What big men are their that are good rim protectors that are also stretch/low post scorers?

    Stretch:
    Ibaka

    Low Post Scorers:
    Marc Gasol

    Both:
    Anthony Davis

There has to be more. My point is is that if we get a good rim protector to cover up our defensive deficiencies while creating space on offense, than CJ and Dame fit perfectly.

    I'd have to think
Dame/CJ/3-and-D SF/Ibaka/Gasol would be a top 3 team offensively and top 8 or so defensively. Not that those guys are easily acquirable, but just to show what type of players we should put around Dame and CJ.

Just realized both Gasol and Ibaka play for the Spanish national team. Hell we'd be able to sign Pau then. #pipedream #SpanishArmadaBigManStyle

    Dame - 6' 1 3/4" w/shoes......6' 2 3/4" with shoes @ Chicago Pre-Draft Dame listed at 6'3"....close.
    CJ ----- 6' 2 1/4" w/shoes......6' 3 1/4" with shoes @ Chicago Pre-Draft. CJ listed at 6'4".........generous.

Some player change shoes when they get into the NBA and it will add 1/2" to their game height. Some players measure 1" taller in shoes while others measure 1 1/2" taller in shoes. Different brands, styles etc. CJ was always taller but is still short for a SG and historically, 6'4" and under SG haven't excelled in this league for long. Certainly there are exceptions but they were often teamed with a backcourt mate that wasn't ball dominant if that was the case.

I would say the same think to these Philly writers that I say here about CJ and Dame.........Way to early to know if Okofor and Noel can or can not play together? I think they would be stupid to break that tandem apart so soon. If it doesn't work than I say it is because Noel is not skilled enough and if that is the case then why do I want him for CJ.

I would consider CJ for Okofor though if Embid comes back and makes him expendable. I think Okofor has too many offensive skills to be a bust. He will be a solid player for a long time. He has an old man's game.
