Not even competitive. Dominated again by Craps. Team sucks and isn't going anywhere. GM better get his head out of his ass. Craps also were missing their best defenseman and another one of their top 4 defenseman.

One of the funnier moments of the game was late when Zucc had the puck coming down on a 2 on 1...you could have bet 897809678578589759850 billion dollars he would pass. The dman didn't even pretend to think he would shoot and took away the passing lane 100%...and Zucc passed to the covered guy instead of shooting at the net point blank all alone...puck went harmlessly off the boards.

We have a lot of guys who refuse to shoot, but Zucc takes the cake. Dude has got to shoot more. He is so important to this team, but AV needs to tell him shoot more or you sit. I know that is counterproductive to the main goal here, but not sure if anything else will get through to him.

Right now stuff like that frustrates me more than anything else.

Klein is an important dude on this team:

Coincidence or not, the Rangers are now 3-7-2 when Kevin Klein is out of the lineup, as the right defenseman was for Sunday’s 5-2 defeat to the Caps.

And BTW...I am not going to kill Miller for his mistake. Kid has been playing really well. He made a mistake and fanned on a cross ice pass. It happens. Mistakes happen. Not going to hang him for a bad play.

The Blueshirts, 2-9-2 in their last 13 on the road, have the Canucks at the Garden on Tuesday before a two-game trip to Ottawa and Carolina.

To me our terrible PK (only one SH goal all season as well) AND our terrible road record tell me more than any other stat there is trouble.

The past couple of seasons our PK (and scoring SH goals) has been very good. And we have been a great road team the past couple of seasons...this season not so much.

I think we are missing Hags speed on the PK, and then we compounded it by getting rid of Stoll, who is good on the PK, to keep Glass. Since Stoll was waived our PK has gone into the toilet.

AV should try Kreids on the PK. With his size and speed will make the PK an offensive threat also. Can't be worse than the shit on the PK now.

That I agree on. He can't finish for jack. At least he could put pressure on the defenseman on the PK unit with his speed. Of course, he's dumb. That might factor in as to why he isn't on that unit.

I think you nailed it dump, his hockey IQ is very low as we know...sure that plays a role in why he is not a PK guy.

    Mel McIlreider loves his guys...:).

The team sucks Chuck. Give the second place crap a rest. Without their dumbass start, they have played like a team out of the playoffs for 2 months.

We know how you feel dump. Just like the past couple of seasons you jumped ship very early. We got it...no need to say it over and over again Mr. Ranger...:).

lol, is this really coming from Chuck, who says the same thing over.....and over.....and over? tell us again how you don't see a Nash trade til the summer and how we can't keep Yandle unless Staal or Girardi is gone, because the first few thousand times you said it were not enough.

I still think Kreids could be effective on the PK with his size and speed hockey IQ or not. Like I said can't be worse than the shit manning the PK now. And not to beat the girardi dead horse again but for someone that is slow as shit right now from years of taking target practice as one of torts 6 goalies and is playing with a hole in his knee can he stop pinching and ending up on the opponents goal line resulting in 1 odd man rush after another. The more I watch our D system and the pairings and ice time allotted I'm starting to think the first coach to go should be ulfie who is killing our most tradable commodity Yandle with his mindless use of him. And ulfie by the way McD looks like a top D-man again since girardi got hurt and he has klein as his partner. Staal to me looks like he has started to play better. Everyone knows my feelings about Dylan being in the line up every day.

Oh that's just a fact 31. If G and Staal are here no shot Yandle can be resigned. That is what it is man.

The other fact is you should get a room with dump...my lord your head is up his butt...LOL.

All good though man...you do you. I don't take your bait anymore. Pretty clear you troll my posts to start a ridiculous back and forth, but I'll pass my man.

Everyone on a message board posts the same thing over and over again. I can give a laundry list of posts proving that point. The main point is dump punts on our season EVERY SIGNLE YEAR in November and December, so no new news there. That's the point. We know he thinks we are done, and does every season at this time, and you know what...good for him.

He is 100% entitled to his opinion. No issues there...just funny that he gives up early every season and yet he calls himself a Ranger fan. That is weird to me, but I 100% respect his right to feel that way.

Give it a try mel, why not considering how terrible our PK has been. Might as well try something else, makes sense to me. I would have no issue with giving it a try.

You may look up at your Torts poster above your bed before you go to sleep every night, but it has his time to go. We went from ECF -> 1st Rd -> Underperforming. Not a good trend and the team had stopped responding. His time was up. He's a good guy (great pressers) and i wish him well in Columbus, but his firing was fully merited and we needed a change. When AV's teams start missing the playoffs and the team stops listening to his message it will be his time to go too. It happens.

Actually 2nd round 31. We lost in the 2nd round to the Bruins. I agree with you on Torts, but we went ECF to 2nd round.

Its amazing our last 2 coaches. Torts required a total defensive 6 goalie system that required everybody to be used as target practice and were just too tired and bruised to get back up ice to the offensive end and now we have AV with the opposite philosophy with no defense that seems to constantly require d-men to go into corners and behind the net together leaving the front of hank unoccupied. Hopefully the next coach has a happy medium. Since Dylan seems to be the only one concerned about protecting the front of hanks net in violation of AV's strategy maybe thats why he's always in the press box.
