You know, if anyone does, I bet it would be Meyers.

I don't claim to be all knowing- I only write what I find when it matches what I see. I could go through just the first half clips and find a half dozen times where Plumlee got moved off his spot, pushed out of the way and scored and/or rebounds over.

It's true that not all of that is on him- he helped and couldn't recover in time 3-4 times and that's on te guards for getting blown by. But the difference in the defense was night and day inside with Meyers in there. He walked Gortat out of the paint on quite a few possessions- notably rag dolled him out of position to grab a contested DReb.

While not Plumlee's worst game- Meyers has definitely shown up.

I get him following up on some of my tweets, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Overdue. Should have done it while his value was high.

    Wait...it never has been.

Did you hear him his first two years? I literally stopped listening to the broadcasts for like three seasons because of it. Either he's better now, or I'm used to it. Or some of both.

Wasn't Nene attacking the basket when Plums moved to help out? Either way none of them were Gotat posting up the smaller Plumlee.

He lost me completely when he said he wanted to break a journalist's knees with a lead pipe or something couple seasons ago on air thinking it was humor...sheesh..Wheels does an amazing job carrying the load for the radio broadcast...there has to be a better ex Blazer to do color commentary..now I'm sure I'll probably regret this at the next meet and greet featuring him...I have a fear of lead pipes

Jared Dudley is a guy that always impresses me but gets no attention for the skills he has. Guy can ball

I think that's his biggest issue on defense.

    He gets pushed around.

Nothing he can really do about it, he's undersized. But it is what it is.

Is anyone else seeing the humor in you guys talking about firing the only black Blazer broadcaster on MLK day?

I think unlike most folks that Plumlee is still a work in progress..his age alone says he's not finished learning the NBA game. He hasn't started that much in his career and seems to be a pretty quick study. Impressed me how he improved his free throws quickly after teams targeted him early on. Gametime was talking about how many times Duncan played Dirk and it was 90 times ...changes the instincts. Plumlee is just getting his feet wet against veteran centers like Gortat

I have a dream, that Blazer broadcasters will be judged, not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their commentary.

Everyone points out the FT thing as Plumlee improving, but really all he did was go back to what he was doing before. He shot 68% his senior year and 58% overall in college and was 55% shooter overall his last two years in the NBA.
