Stop making excuses for him, 94. Do you give excuses for your boss at work too if his hands are tied up?

You edited your post after I responded slick. He's made ONE trade. Getting rid of Etem, who didn't do shit for this team and got some cap relief and a young prospect who may or may not pan out. Now Etem is a difference maker? In what fucking world? He assisted against us? Holy shit!! Award this man as the MVP of the league!!!! Get a grip dude. Gorton is hamstrung by Sather's idiotic trades of the last few years giving up all these picks and prospects, and giving out all these NTC as if they would never come back to bite us in the ass. Sather has ALWAYS been awful at contract negotiations.

I don't know if he is making excuses for him...I think his point is making a lot of moves isn't easy. Dealing players who have NTC's isn't easy. And it takes two to tango.

I fully expect we will make some moves this season, just may take a little while longer and not happen tomorrow.

My boss doesn't give out non-fire able contracts that say you cannot replace someone if they aren't doing their job like Sather did.

Do you know what a NTC even is??? It's a NO TRADE CLAUSE which means YOU CANNOT TRADE THAT PLAYER UNLESS SAID PLAYER AGREES TO BE TRADED. God your dense. If there's a NO TRADE CLAUSE and it's players who a majority of us can see need to be moved, it makes it tough. Boyle:NTC; Staal:NTC; Nash:NTC(limited I believe); Girardi:NTC; Stepan:NTC after this season. That is the problem. I'm sure Gorton would LOVE to trade one, if not more, of them, but he simply CANNOT do so without those players agreeing to go.

I will too! Don't get me wrong. He needs to eventually make a move and I've been saying that all along. But these moves are going to be tough. I've said I want Staal and Nash traded. But their NTC makes it difficult to move.

Not that it has to be made this simple but to make trades you need trading partners. I've said 100 times GMs are not sitting by their phones wondering how they can help out the New York Rangers. Just screaming over and over again that the big contracts you don't like need to be moved on demand or the GM sucks is completely ridiculous.

Chance after chance after chance...team simply does not finish. Let's see if we can get 1 to tie it. We are dominating the game and the chances, but trailing.

Every goalie seems to play out of their mind against this team.

I agree 94. And if there were an isolated game where we didn't score, or a goalie that is just on, I would say what can you do. But game after game we don't score and the other goalie looks like a stud. Very frustrating.

Yea. But a lot of times we miss open nets or shoot right into the goalie. While we've hit 5 posts tonight, Miller has made some outstanding saves and I'd say tonight is a combination of us lacking finishing touches and Miller making great saves.

It would be nice if our 7.8 million dollar forward find the way to score in this type of games.

There we go! Go to the front of the net, stick on the ice and bam.
