Good effort...not worth it Mess. We are in 2nd place but we are done. It is pretty clear.

No one is saying we are world beaters or winning a cup as is, we all know we need to improve at the DL to have a real shot to win it all, but who the F gives up on a season and pronounces a team they are a "fan" of dead when they are sitting in 2nd place with 36 games left...unreal. I guess the answer to that question is dump every November...LOL.

    Is what it is.

So true. Looking back I'm kind of embarrassed I was all pumped up and singing the goal song when they scored. In fact, why are they even playing it at this point? I should write to someone at MSG, tell them any sort of excitement at home against bad teams, especially in overtime, is no longer allowed. I'm on it guys, don't worry.

Again, that win against the Canucks who are nothing special does not suddenly mean the team's problems are solved. Let's hope Gorton doesn't think "hey, we won against VAN and we're still in 2nd place (living off the hot start) so i don't need to do any trades. The team's just fine"

    Who is saying that 31?

I said "we all know we need to improve at the DL to have a real shot to win it all."
Mess said "nobody said there shouldn't be improvements made."
Prod has also said the same things on many occasions.

So who is saying we beat the Canucks...now we are good and we are set to win a cup and don't need to make any moves?

There are still a lot of players on the team that were here when Torts was still around. Stepan, Nash, McDonagh, Zucc, Girardi, Staal and Brassard are all core players that were here before AV got hired, so a lot of the core has remained and we're seeing it get stale this year. It's time for a shakeup that can wake the team up and hopefully propel it into another deep playoff run.

Nash was here one lockout shortened season with Torts. Brass was here from a trade DL through a 2nd round loss with Torts (25 total games including playoffs). Zucc barely sniffed the ice when Torts was the coach. 10 games in 11-12 and 27 games in 12-13 including playoffs.

None of those guys were really Torts guys or were real core guys under Torts. Nash sort of was because of who he is and his AAV, but he played one shortened season with Torts.

I agree we need to make a move for sure, but Nash and especially Zucc and Brass were barely here when Torts was here. Their real Ranger careers started with AV.
