I know its too early but here are the players I think that have chances to win it:Leandro BarbosaDavid LeeJamal CrawfordEddie JonesMichael FinleyJerry StackhouseAntonio McDyessBonzi Wells
How about Ben Gordon? He's leading the league in points per game for players who come off the bench (20.8), not to mention he is a huge part of Chicago's success and is basically their closer down the stretch of games. He's not a lock to win it, but he should definitely be in consideration for the award.
Ben Gordon until he starts more games. Besides him I think it has to be Barbosa. He has been improving his game a lot over the last 3 years. He has become and even better offensive player even though he had some shooting struggles for a little while this season...he's getting steals and he has become a bit better at being a point guard which makes me feel better about Banks being a mistake this season so far. He still isn't amazing but he's giving me some hope for our future point guard. He's more under control this season and has been a great 6th man. He is just so quick, he unstoppable at times.
Barbosa is definitely worthy of being a top 6th man. He should be starting but I guess Bell and Nash are playing so well.
Jerry Stackhouse is not deserving yet (shut up mavsfan :dribble: ). He has done well when he has played, but not enough to be worthy 6th Man. Maybe down the line, MAYBE.Ben Gordon has got to be it as of right now, though.
<span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS">Personally, in the beginning of the season, I thought Corey Maggette could take it because he came off the bench for the Clippers and dropped great numbers in only about 30-35 minutes of play time, which happens to be a lot for many players but not a lot for good scorers. Now I guarantee that if Ben Gordon still plays off the bench until the season ends, he'll definitely receive the 6th Man award. I mean, averaging 20 ppg is hard to do, even if you're playing as a starter. Gordon? He's doing that off the bench!</span>
I have to give it to Leandro Barbosa. Anybody who has seen him play this year knows exactly what he brings to the Suns each time he steps into the game. He's a great energy off the bench, he's explosive, he's not scared to be aggressive and drive the ball inside. He excels at both guard spots. When the Suns play with their starting line-up minus Bell and plus Barbosa, The Suns score 20+ more points than the Starting lineup did. That's the type of effect he has on his team.
Michael Finley? That has to be a joke. I'm a Fin fan but he's been awful this year. Not even close to 6th man worthy.I like David Lee a lot, it's a shame he's not on a winning team so he most likely won't win the award. Barbosa is more likely to win it as he's produced well and plays on a winning squad.
take Eddie Jones offIf Mike Miller continues to come off the bench(he hasnt been starting lately)he will for sure win it. Either him or Gordon.
Yahoo has Miller as a substitute for only 1 game this year so he can't be considered for this yet... Barbosa is have a better season than Miller has ever had as a bench player before so we'll see if Miller can step up his game this year off the bench.
thats what im saying, Miller would have to play off the bench alot if he were to have a chance to get #2 at the award.
Ben Gordon, he's leading his team in scoring and he's coming off the bench, he's hte glue that keeps that team together IMO. I doubt Maggete would get it would the problems he's been having with the Clippers.
I think that it has to be Ben Gordon. He is averaging around 20 points per game, and he is the bulls leading scorer. It is VERY strange that your leading scorer would be a person off the bench.....Barbosa is probably 2nd behind him. Another one that I think should be in the running is David Lee. Somebody listed him above, and I really love his game. He is a great rebounder, he has a decent offensive game, and he is a very very very hard worker. His stats probably arent impressive enough to get it for him though...
Right now, I'd say Gordon or Lee, but I think that as the season progresses both of them will start more games. If not those two I'd go with Barbosa.
Ben Gordon, but he won't be on the bench anymore before the season is over. I think in the end it will go to Barbosa
Leonardo Barbosa, he does a lot for his team, and it's all thanks to NashBen Gordon will be runner-up
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Leonardo Barbosa, he does a lot for his team, and it's all thanks to Nash</div>Not really, Barbosa can create shots for himself.
